"Stranger Things" and Hi-Rez Studios mythology-based MOBA "SMITE" are getting a crossover. Eleven, Hopper, the Demogorgon, and even the Mind Flayer will be meeting Cupid, Zeus, and Anubis in the latest collaboration event.
"SMITE" teased the crossover on its Twitter account.
It reads: "Something is coming... Something that's hungry for blood!" Additionally, it invited its fans to tune in to the Summer Games Fest for additional details.
'SMITE' and Pop Culture
It is not the first time that "SMITE" welcomed pop culture characters to its mythology-themed multi-player battle arena. Previously, "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" skins became available.
GameRant reported that SMITE also released a Monstercat Battle Pass recently.
The latest crossover launched after Hi-Rez Studios stormed headlines as it announced its work from home policy that encouraged employees to "work wherever they feel most productive."
It is also noteworthy that the previous collaborations were not limited to game cosmetics. To complete the overall experience, music tracks, and accurate voice cues graced the gameplay as well.
'Stranger Things' and 'SMITE'
Since its debut in 2016, the Netflix series has been seen in both official and unofficial video games. For the latter, an "Among US" Mod featured the antagonists of "Stranger Things." And officially, "Dead by Daylight" has the famed series' skins as well like "SMITE."
The latest crossover event of "SMITE" brings Eleven, Hopper, the Demogorgon, and the Mind Flayer cosmetics. However, the specifics of how they will actually look are still unknown.
Also, it is still unclear which mythological God could transform into a "Stranger Things" character.
In addition, the map of "SMITE" will also be redesigned to match the gloomy aesthetics of Upside Down.
