TSM FTX Smash Melee pro William Hjelte, or known as Leffen," in the Smash community, breaks his silence against the accusation thrown by fellow pro Aziz' Hax Al-Yami. According to the reports, Hax$ accused Leffen of creating a "totalitarian regime" in the community.
In a two-and-a-half-hour YouTube video, Leffen said he is now seeking legal advice after Hax$ published the latest document and video. The event surprised the gaming community as on June 5, a fellow player revealed a 136-page Google document, along with a 2.5 hour YouTube video listing a series of "charges" against Leffen. In the published content, Hax$ labeled Leffen as a "psychopath" eager to create a "totalitarian regime" within the Smash community.
There are nine accusations against Leffen, including alleged "hijacking" the #MeToo movement for his personal gain, use of "blackmail and propaganda" to "smear" Smash rival Juan 'Hungrybox' DeBiedma, and "maliciously instructed" players to change the layout of their game controllers, Dexerto reports.
Back in July 2020, Smash pro and streamer Gonzalo' ZeRo' Barrios was accused of inappropriate with underage girls. There were rumors that he was banned from future events and had been cut from Tempo Storm.
ZeRo has responded to the accusations and apologized Jisu, Katie, and Leffen. He added that his intention was not malicious. However, his action may cause pain to other people.
ZeRo admitted he had sent "horrendous" messages to girls as young as 14 when he was 19 because of his "social awkwardness" and lack of judgment.
Meanwhile, the Google document contains the breakdown of Hax$ accusations.
After publishing the video, Leffen tweeted, "at this point i don't even know what to do."
"Will be looking into a lawyer before saying more just to make sure my bases are covered," he added.
Leffen will be hosting Smash tournament LEVO 18 on July 5-6. No one knows if these allegations may affect his presence during the event and other events to come.
