Apple job posting might have just revealed possible Bitcoin involvement for the new Apple iPhone pay. The new position is for an "alternative payments" Business Development Manager, which could apparently mean that Apple is looking to accept cryptocurrency payments.

Apple Job Posting

Although just a speculative conclusion, according to an article by PhoneArena, this is something one might think when looking at the Jobs at Apple website via CNBC. This is where Apple reportedly posted a listing that is looking for a Business Development Manager for Alternative Payments.

The job post reportedly says that the official Apple Wallets, Payments, and Commerce WPC team is currently looking for people to hold up Apple's end when it comes to Alternative Payments Partnership. The new employee is expected to work at Apple's Cupertino headquarters in California.

Hiring Business Development Manager for Alternative Payments

The new employee will reportedly be given the task of negotiating with certain potential partners, signing and even executing certain commercial contracts, and even developing new programs for the company. The person that Apple is currently looking for must reportedly have at least five years of experience when it comes to working for a certain alternative payments provider.

The new employee is also expected to have expertise when it comes to digital wallets, namely the BNPL or buy-now-pay-later, faster payments, and even cryptocurrency. Tim Cook, Apple CEO, has already talked about a future wherein all forms of payments are digitally made, and the iPod touch, the iPhone and the Apple Watch all have digital Wallet apps that automatically come with the devices.

Apple to Accept P2P Payments

Apple also says that with the app, users can keep their credit, debit, and even prepaid cards, boarding passes, store cards, movie tickets, coupons, student ID cards, rewards cards, and others in one place. Through the official Messages app, Apple owners can easily make certain P2P or peer-to-peer payments as well.

Certain analysts have reportedly suggested that Apple had invested some of its cash into cryptocurrency just like Tesla. A few years ago, a certain Apple Pay executive also stated that the company actually saw the "long-term potential" that the cryptocurrency technology has but still did not plan to use it at that particular moment.

Does Apple have a Cryptocurrency?

Back in February, the RBC Capital Markets Analyst known as Mich Steves suggested that Apple should create a crypto-exchange and invest in certain alternative currencies. Steves' analysis even noted that if Apple were reportedly to get heavily involved in cryptocurrency technology, this would actually help the United States become the tech leader in this market for as long as about 10 to 20 years.

The analyst even gave a forecast that if Apple were to help develop a certain wallet-based crypto exchange, it would be able to generate up to $40 billion in revenue for Apple. The new job posting might not tackle all of these fields but it is still a possibility.
