A space baby is currently impossible to happen, as claimed by various experts and researchers. They explained that it will still take years if people want to give birth to babies outside the planet.
However, various space critics and analysts claimed that if this happens in the future, it will be the first step in achieving a multi-planet civilization.
For the past few years, various space agencies and government departments launched different satellites and other manned missions out to space. Although this is the case, different researchers and scientists claimed that these innovations are still not enough to make space baby a possibility.
Here are other reasons why giving birth in space is not yet possible.
Why Space Baby is Still Impossible to Happen
According to Japan Today's latest report, there is very little research done on the biology of pregnancy and reproductive health in space. On the other hand, there are also very few experiments conducted when it comes to giving birth or living in low-gravity environments.
Aside from this, experts claimed that a baby is very fragile. This means that people will have lots of difficulties when it comes to raising babies or kids in outer space.
Although this is the case, various space companies and agencies are still trying to do this. One of them is SpaceLife Origin, which previously tried to bring heavily pregnant women 250 miles outside Earth's atmosphere. The space agency said that these participants are expected to give birth in space.
Aside from SpaceLife Origin, another company called Orbital Assembly Corporation previously announced that it plans to open a luxury hotel in orbit this coming 2027.
Elon Musk's Mars Ambition is a Risky One?
Aside from achieving space babies, experts and other critics claimed that Elon Musk's Mars ambition is also quite difficult to achieve since it could be the riskiest human quest right now.
Bloomberg reported that if Elon Musk continues his SpaceX mission, people who will participate in the upcoming Mars colonization will face various problems such as solar flares, dust storms, as well as a lack of water, food, and oxygen.
All these factors are the main reasons why experts consider Mars colonization as a very risky space ambition, although it seemed that the tech CEO knows this and even said before that he is finding "ready to die" people to join.
