Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 release date is set to release some time this August (according to rumors and leaks), and the patent reveals a bold new step to a buttonless phone. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, expected in just a few months, is said to possibly turn up without any included physical buttons.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 'No Physical Buttons'
According to LetsGoDigital, a Samsung patent reveals certain details about a device that pretty much looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Instead of actually having physical buttons, the handset is now controlled with capacitive buttons as well as gestures.
This would also be particularly useful when the new folding phone is in its closed state, which would supposedly give users twice the amount of space in order to work with on the gadget's edges. This reportedly happens when the two different sides of the device are sitting next to each other. Having gesture control and capacitive buttons could be a more intuitive option in comparison to the conventional approach.
Samsung Patent Reveals New Feature
By incorporating new side panels that are capable of except taps, swipes and squeezes, Samsung would be able to expand the total number of features and controls that can reportedly be accessed whether the phone is closed or open. This is if it can possibly pull off the implementation of the new technology.
According TechRadar, the patent was filed in November of 2020, although there is no clear indication of whether or not this is going to be ready in time for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 launch. It was stated that the latest rumors and leaks actually point towards an August debut for a new foldable phone alongside the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
