'Halo: Master Chief Collection' to Introduce New Set of Armors and Swords for the Elites

"Halo: Master Chief Collection" has been consistently updated with fresh content since it was first introduced.

In more recent years, the game has received additions like new armor sets and maps, expanding on the content that was featured in the "Halo" sage initially. However, that content has largely been geared towards Spartans, the human super soldiers that are iconic to the franchise.

For the fans of the video game, that is changing soon.

Halo: Master Chief Collection Update

According to a post that was made over on the Halo Waypoint blog, "Halo: Master Chief Collection" season 7 will feature new armor sets for the Elites, otherwise known as Sangheii, to don in multiplayer matches, according to PCInvasion.

This is not just one or two new additions to the armor offerings, either. Instead, the players will be getting access to an impressive seven sets in total, called Keepward, General, Accord, Seneschal, Ossoona, Scion, and Artisan.

In a blog post, 343 Industries shared images of each of the sets along with a brief snippet about the lore behind them. In the past, there have been complaints from the fans of the game that the new armor sets feel out of place with the games they are being added to.

However, these armors look pretty in-line with the general design of the Elites found throughout the series, especially the more recent entries. However, 343 Industries did not specifically state which game the armor sets are being added to.

So far, the best guess is "Halo 3," though the only indication of that is a line in the blog post that states that new Energy Sword skins are coming to "Halo 3," so that is not for sure, GameRant noted.

Recently, the scale has certainly tipped towards the new "Halo 3" content, becoming something of a point of contention for fans.

One can hope that the skins are being shared across the available games.

The 343 Industries did state that not all of this content is guaranteed to make the cut, so some of the armor sets may be excluded from the final version. It's an impressive number of gear sets, so even if a few don't make it into the final game, fans should be satiated.

The seasonal structure in "Halo: Master Chief Collection" lets the players earn gear fairly fast too, so consistent players should be able to unlock the sets in no time.

The Elite armor sets are an indication that 343 Industries is listening to the player base. While not all wishes are likely to be granted, balancing the types of content that players with the intended direction of the game is an important piece of the puzzle.

"Halo: Master Chief Collection" is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

What is 'Halo: Master Chief Collection'

The "Master Chief Collection" originally consisted of "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary," 'Halo 2 Anniversary," "Halo 3," and "Halo 4," complete with their full catalog of extras, including all multiplayer maps and gameplay modes.

There have been no story or gameplay changes to the original releases. The games are first-person shooters with vehicular combat that takes place from a third-person perspective.

All four campaign modes can be played alone or cooperatively through split screen or Xbox Live. Each campaign has difficulty levels and access to gameplay modifies also known as Skulls.
