'Arrow' and 'The Flash' to Have Yearly Crossover Events: CW President

The Flash and Arrow are some of the hottest superhero TV shows available right now. Recently, both shows had crossover events that were loved by fans all around the world. Due to the success of the crossover episodes, The CW is planning to do more, but don't expect something frequent.

According to CW president Mark Pedowitz, fans should expect crossover events once per season, which is a single time per year. Obviously, some fans were hoping for more crossovers, but we can understand why The CW chose to go down this path.

While the crossovers have garnered much attention, it would not have been wise to do it more than once. Chances are it would have reached a point where the crossovers are no longer interesting, and might not draw enough viewers due to folks getting used to the idea.

It would be interesting to find out what the plans are for the next big event. We can only hope that both Arrow and The Flash team up to take down the likes of Gorilla Grodd or a team of super-villains who have come together to bring the heroes to their knees.

We loved the first seven of crossover events, the second one more so, but the threat that brought both heroes together was not that great. We need something that gives us the impression that without them teaming up, a certain catastrophe could not have been avoided. It's going to be tough since the writers are not allowed to use some characters from the comics.

However, it can be done, and it must be done because the fans demand it.

Apart from the announcement of the yearly Arrow and The Flash crossover event, The CW also made it clear that plans are underway to give The A.T.O.M. his own show. Nothing is set in stone, but we do expect it to happen because it is only way the network and DC will ever be able to keep Brandon Routh interested in continuing with the project.

With all these chit chattering, we can safely say that the 3rd quarter of 2015 is going to be a blast.
