We have seen in the previous vampire movies that the said castle is dreaded for its eerie appearance to the public. It is believed that the ancient bloodsuckers have dwelled here, but worry no more as instead of sharp fangs, visitors will be injected with a COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the official website of Bran Castle, Order no. 2.941/1.120/2020 further advises the visitors to follow safety health protocols during their visit.

Furthermore, they are instructed to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask inside. Apart from that, a two-meter distance is also implemented as a mandatory policy.

While others are scared to go inside the horrifying fortress, Liviu Necula, one of the visitors was up for the challenge. When the 39-year-old engineer saw the poster about the castle's COVID-19 vaccination drive, he courageously went to it to receive a vaccine jab.

Those who will get the COVID-19 injection will receive an unusual certificate for their "boldness and responsibility." It also indicated that those people will be welcome at the Bran castle "for the coming 100 years."

Additionally, the famed Dracula labyrinth will also allow the people to tour inside free the deeply mysterious "torture chambers" for free, according to a report by Science Alert on Monday, May 10,

For those who are not familiar with Bran Castle, it was connected to the story of the Vlad Tepes, also known as "The Impaler." He was a Romanian ruler in the 15th century believed to find joy in "impaling" his enemies until they died a gruesome demise.

Those who are fond of reading Bram Stoker's books, his Dracula novels are often about the features of the Bran Castle and the story of Vlad. The modern trend of the vampire these days was inspired by his 1897 works.

Romania Government Initiates Local Vaccination Drives

The government of Romania has been conducting a series of vaccination drives and marathons in big venues such as the National Library located in Bucharest, as per Romania Insider's report.

As part of the COVID-19 vaccine program, it aims to vaccinate all its citizens for possible herd immunity to the coronavirus.

According to the hospital director of Marius Nasta, Beatrice Mahler, the centers are intended for all people who need the COVID-19 vaccine, especially those who are not used to arranging an online appointment.

Mahler added that while the vaccination programs continue, they are experiencing challenges in reaching more people residing in places where no local doctor is present.

At the moment, nearly 3.6 million out of 19 million Romanians have already received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The authorities expect that by June, five million people have already received the jab.
