"Resident Evil Village" has been released last week, and players are just getting into the game's story and plot, but several mods have already been available to make the game more enjoyable and less terrifying. The leaks were provided mostly by Nexus Mods, and it features a barrage of comical additions like Baby Chris Redfield, Lady X Dimetrescu, and more.
CAPCOM has been one of the most talked-about gaming publishers for the past weekend, especially after the weekend release of "Resident Evil Village" which is also the eighth installment of the popular franchise. Initial reviews have the game at high praises, especially as it debuted the horror-action genre that is truly a cross-gen like no other "Resident Evil" games.
The game has mostly positive reviews for now, and it has sparked massive popularity among fans and the gaming community despite being released for less than a week since last Friday, May 7.
Best Mods in 'Resident Evil Village'
Mods in games are enjoyable, especially as it gives a cosmetic upgrade without the worry for the cost to buy from the in-game store or an online shop of the game. Instead of spending money for these skins or accessories, gamers may opt for the cheaper way of improving the game with mods but could be dangerous if not used to installing them or programming it.
Initially, the popular "Resident Evil" mod go-to is making its villain have the head of "Thomas, the Tank Engine," replacing the face of the villain with the animated character. This makes gaming lighter, especially with "Resident Evil Village" and the past games have improved on its horror genre.
Baby Chris Redfield
This is one of the most popular mods in the game, and it brings the face of an adult Chris Redfield, to a baby's body, which is a comical and creepy take on the backstory. Nexus Mods called this "Mini-Me Chris" and are available to download and install.
Lady X Dimetrescu
The favorite villain of "Resident Evil VII" Mr. X is brought back into the "Village" but this time, it incorporates its features to "RE8's" baddie, ultimately called "Lady X Dimetrescu." The features of Mr. X fuses with the Countess and bring a more refined level of horror for the villain.
Pudge Mercenary
The Duke may resemble a character from another game, but good thing is that the uploader of this mod has made the people stop guessing and gave them what they truly think of him. That's right, The Duke resembles Pudge from "DOTA 2" and this mod masks the villain with the heroes' face.
Flyswatter Mod
Tired of all the killing and knife slashing? This "Flyswatter Mod" turns the knife into a flyswatter and when using against the vampire ladies, it turns them into a swarm of bugs that escape instead of a bloody mess.
