China to Launch 'Heavenly Harmony' Module into Orbit--Space Station Quest Continues

Amidst several problems on constructing space stations, China has been hell-bent to pursue its wanderlust on space travel. At this current period, the "Heavenly Harmony" tends to fit in its space book.

So far, the International Space Station (ISS) remains the most accomplished space station. Over the past years, many countries have been developing their part in space discovery, and they are slowly leaving the ISS behind.

However, there is one country that continues to venture into the making of space stations despite being banned. It seems that China has been pushing its limit to the trials that it has conducted in the past.

For two decades, it's no wonder that ISS has the largest contribution when it comes to space stations. Several countries involved in the collaboration are Russia, the United States, Japan, and even the European countries.

While these countries have been enjoying their visits to the ISS, China has remained to stay afloat despite being banned for this cause. The United States and NASA have decided that Chinese astronauts should be barred from exploring the ISS ever since.

Instead of venturing into other activities, China continues its growing endeavor in space exploration. Lately, what they saw in China is an outstanding step in space missions from both ends.

Recently, the country has managed to complete its quests to the Earth's natural satellite. For this case, China has become the first country to conduct a soft landing on the far side of the moon.

Moreover, it has also gone on a mission on Mars when the NASA Perseverance rover dropped on the red planet. At this moment, the country is about to start a new adventure - the release of its space station that it could call its own.

This week, China will be sending "Heavenly Harmony," one of the space station's vital components in space exploration, AP reports. The trip was scheduled as early as Thursday evening, but it could still change depending on the decision.

Setting an entire space station is a hard task since there are 11 missions required for this to happen. But, what China did is a big leap en route to the space station's initial configuration.

Currently, it could house up to three individuals, but as the East nation persists to make new modules, the number of spacecraft will increase. This will also allow more people to inhibit the space station.

When Will China's Space Station Expected to Finish?

BGR reported that by the end of 2022, the Chinese space station will be finished. During that time, it can fully support the people inside it who will carry out different experiments while in space.

Presently, at least a dozen people are on training sessions. They will be a part of the initial group which will use the space station.

China's pursuit in erecting space stations is still a long way, but its little progress has grown a lot over time. The country has learned from the past lessons about building a highly advanced and permanent space station.

Having said that, the "Heavenly Harmony" is only a portion of what China shows to the world despite some limitations that hold the country.
