A viral TikTok video of a liver submerged in soda has left something to ponder for the viewers. As of Wednesday, Apr.28, the video has already garnered more than 10 million views.
On Apr.18, the user named Mascarado2fit shared a video on his TikTok which shows a big liver from a pig. Later, it is put on a tupperware, which is in front of the animal's snout. He poured a Coca-cola afterward.
What happens has shocked the viewers across the platform, and there's an important lesson that it tells us.

TikTok Viral Video of a Liver Dipped in Coca-Cola Made Rounds Online
From the official account of Mascarado2fit on TikTok, a Spanish text appeared on the screen. When translated in English, it says "Pig liver 24 hours in Coca-Cola, look how it eats the liver."
The user also urged the viewers to never skip the video and watch it until it ends. From the screen, we could see that he is unbolting the soft drink bottle before spreading it to the liver.
There was a cut in the scene, and to fast it forward, Mascarado2fit has already unveiled what happened to the soda-dipped liver.
What Happened to the Submerged Liver?
The viewers were surprised by the turn of events that happened. Upon removing the container's lid, the submerged liver in soda became a fibrous, brownish grey liver, News Week reported.
Its previous color was dark people so it was evident that a chemical reaction had taken place. On the other hand, the coke seems to have absorbed the color of the liver.
After watching the video, some people concluded that soda causes harm to the liver. Some said that the soda has damaged the liver in the video
Others did not believe it since the case in the video is different from humans. In the video, the carbonated drink is poured directly into the liver, while in humans, it enters through our mouth before getting into the digestive system.
Hilarious comments also flooded the comment section. One user questioned the uploader that he does not need to soak the liver when he drinks coke.
Another user said that he will now stop consuming carbonated drinks. However, another one commented that the liver in the video is already outside the body so it is very different from the actual depiction of a liver inside.
In reality, what we eat undergoes a digestive process starting from our mouths. It passes down to other parts of the digestive tract until it reaches the liver, which is responsible for breaking the elements into their simplified forms.
Besides the liver video, Mascarado2fit has previously uploaded a video of a pig's lungs exposed to cigarette smoke. At the time, it had collected more than five million views in TikTok.
