Upon NieR Replicant's launch of version 1.22474487139, there are a lot of side quests that arrived. Of course, your adventure seems endless in the game, that's why you need an ample supply of food and resources for your tasks.
One important thing that you should remember in the game is money. If you have gold, you can buy something to eat, or a tool that can help you finish your missions.
This guide will help you to farm Gold and the Damascus Steel which will help you for your weapon upgrade. We will also tackle where to find the goat hide in the game so stay tuned for more details.
How to Farm Gold in NieR Replicant
For the first task on NieR's latest patch, you can try gardening so you could plant more seeds and later sell the Moonflowers for some gold. All you have to do is to go to the Seafront market to get the seeds.
You can plant different Moonflower seeds with various colors which can produce a unique type of seed. Besides, you can also utilize fertilizers to hasten the time of your harvest, GamingBolt reported.
Here's a reference about the colors of the Moonflower and their corresponding value.
600 gold (blue, red, and gold moonflower)
1,800 gold (peach, pink, and indigo moonflower)
5,000 gold (lunar tear)
You can alternate the planting of them to produce another seed color. For instance, gold and red seeds will result in peach while blue and gold will yield indigo.
Meanwhile, indigo and red will have pink, whereas Lunar Tear can be produced through merging pink and peach.
You can also head to the Junk Heap B2 to gather some materials. To go there, direct to the area's northern part and seek for the boxes which are nearby winding passages.
Upon destroying them, you can now acquire the resources. You can always repeat this daily. Here is a list of materials which you can find and their prices.
120 gold (broken arm)
150 gold (dented metal board & broken antenna)
180 gold (stripped bolt)
200 gold (severed cable)
220 gold (broken lens)
240 gold (copper ore)
350 gold (broken battery)
380 gold (mysterious switch)
400 gold (clay & broken motor)
500 gold (iron ore)
600 gold (machine oil)
750 gold (silver ore)
800 gold (titanium alloy)
1,500 gold (pyrite)
1,800 gold (gold ore)
3,000 gold (amber)
4,800 gold (memory alloy)
6,000 gold (fluorite)
One last tip to collect money is fishing. Each fish also has a particular cost. If you want to start now, go to the Eastern Road fishing spot and look for the Royal Fish. You can sell them for 4,000 gold.
How to Farm Damascus Steel in NieR Replicant
Damascus Steel is essential in upgrading the most sought weapon in NieR Replicant, the Fool's Lament. Remember that the item randomly drops and you can farm it in the Junk Heap B2.
Just wreck all the boxes and find the materials inside. All you need to gather is three Damascus Steel, but since it is rare, expect that you will spend some time waiting for them.
Where to Find Goat Hide in NieR Replicant
Goat Hide is often compared to items that you only see in auctions, but in NieR, you cannot look for it in any shops. The only way to get it is to know its location outside.
GamePur reported that the drop rate of goat hide is not always guaranteed. It may test your patience for a while. To do these, remember some reminders:
- You can head to the Northern Plains where you can see some goats near a broken bridge or a mountain on the right side.
A better place to look for the goats is heading to the Eastern Road. In part 2 of the game, you should expect that the goats will not spawn anymore in the former location so this area is a must if you want to get a goat hide.
