When "Fortnite" season 6 was released, Epic teased the football icon Neymar Junior as part of the battle pass, but the details about the skin remained scarce. Now Epic has released details.
Fornite Neymar Jr. Features and Release Date
Epic announced when fans can expect Neymar to hit "Fortnite." If you are unfamiliar, Neymar Jr. plays for the Brazil National Team and Paris-Saint Germain.
Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in 2017. He captained Brazil on their first Olympic gold medal in men's football at the 2016 Olympic Games. In 2020, he was also the world's fourth highest-paid sports star.
Neymar Jr.'s worldwide fame has made him one of "Fortnite's" most hotly anticipated bonuses for players.
After 6 whole weeks of "Fortnite" season 6, Epic finally teased an actual release date for Neymar Jr., and it looks like Neymar is coming to "Fortnite" on Apr. 27, according to "Fortnite's" official Twitter account.
So what does the skin look like?
Judging from trailer in YouTube, it is possible that fans can get two different versions of the Neymar skin. The most sensible choice would be a skin that just replicates Neymar's actual physique in-game.
Epic is known to turn famous athletes into one of its characters, so fans can expect Neymar to look a lot like previous football player but this time with blue, yellow, and green color scheme.
"Fortnite's" trailer also shows off something that does not look like a football jersey. In a few quick cuts, fans can see what appears to be a skintight suit with clawed hands.
The rest of the suit similarly looks like a mix of Black Panther and Iron Man, from what little fans see. Epic is interested in transforming Neymar into the superhero that his fans already think he is.
'Fortnite' Neymar Skin Price
Neymar was deliberately teased in the "Fortnite" season 6 battle pass trailer, so Epic may not throw it into the item shop for a while.
That means that for the meantime, Neymar skin is free, assuming that the player already have the battle pass, according to The Verge.
If the battle pass is not applied, it will cost 950 V-bucks or $8 to grab the basic version, or 2,800 V-bucks, which is around $28 for the deluxe edition.
Also, the season 6 battle pass still has several reward slots that are listed as "?," so it is possible that is where Neymar will be placed once he arrives.
It is also possible that Epic will add in some challenges associated with the Neymar skin. Since it looks like two skins are dropping next week, fans might have to complete a few quests in order to get the way more cool superhero-looking skin.
Or it is possible that Epic may sell Neymar in the item shop. Epic has yet to announce anything along those lines. If he does go on sale, the skin might go for at least 1,200 V-bucks or $12, if not more.
There are numerous skins that "Fortnite" has released this past few months, including DC characters and Marvel characters.
