Apple's upcoming Macbook Pro will feature additional ports and the MagSafe battery pack, the latest leak reveals.
The leak comes from a notorious ransomware gang, who attacked Apple's supplier and threatened to release more confidential information unless the tech giant pays up.
MacBook Pro's Latest Leak
The latest Apple leak shows the upcoming Macbook Pro's logic board and reveals the ports' placement.
The schematics show that the Macbook Pro would come with two additional USB-C/Thunderbolt ports and a MagSafe charging slot.
The stolen schematics reveal that the right side of the upcoming Macbook Pro will have an HDMI port, an SD card reader, and one USB-C/Thunderbolt port.
Meanwhile, the left side shows the additional two USB-C/Thunderbolt ports and the MagSafe Charging slot, confirming the MagSafe's return.
The reveal confirms previous leaks stated on Jan. 15 by a Bloomberg report and the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The MagSafe comeback was previously revealed by MacRumors writer Steve Moser, who tweeted the code in the iOS 14.5 beta that hints at the battery pack's revival.
Apple later confirmed the MagSafe leak, and they said that they are working on a magnetic battery pack attachment for iPhone 12.
The speculation rose as Apple did not have any battery pack products, and prior Apple-designed battery options were referred to as Smart Battery Cases.
The Apple leak, which referred to the Macbook Pro as "J316" for the 16-inch model and "J314" for the 14-inch model, also reveals that both will feature upgraded Apple silicon chips Kuo also predicted.
Additionally, the leak shows that the Macbook Pro will not have a Touch Bar but retains the Touch ID button at the right-hand side of the function row.

Apple's Stolen Schematics and the $50 Million Ransomware Hack
The latest Macbook Pro leak may be a welcome surprise for Apple fans, but it comes with a hefty price.
According to the Record's report on Apr. 20, the notorious ransomware gang REvil managed to breach Apple's supplier, Quanta Computer, and obtain confidential information, including 15 unreleased MacBook images and schematics.
The Taiwanese company, which is also the biggest laptop manufacturer in the world, is one of the companies that keep Apple's product designs and schematics and has them assembled.
REvil reportedly threatened Quanta Computer to release confidential information about Apple while hinting that they also possess other companies' data unless they pay $50 million.
Unfortunately for the hacker group, Quanta Computer refused to pay the ransom, leading to the Macbook Pro schematics leak.
The company's decision to downplay the ransomware gang may also lead to additional leaks about the Macbook Pro and other Apple devices in the following days.
