Capcom officially announces the re-release of "The Great Ace Attorney" on major gaming platforms, and pre-orders are open.
The Japan-exclusive detective adventure Nintendo 3DS game will be coming to PS4, Switch, and Steam on Jul. 27.
"The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles" will feature the first of the Ace Attorney series, "The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures" and "'The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve."
The game games serve as prequels to the "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" series released in 2018.
'The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles:' Inclusions and Game Play
Set in the 19th century, "The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles" follows the story of Ryunosuke Naruhodo, a student during Imperial Japan who helps solve crimes as he travels to Great Britain to further his studies in law.
Apart from finding clues and speaking with persons of interest, and examining crime scenes, Naruhodo will also have to convince a jury and prove that his client is innocent.
Capcom's official page for the Ace Attorney series also introduces players to exciting characters like Herlock Sholmes (not a typo) and Iris Wilson, who helps Naruhodo to exonerate clients in court.
Unlike the 3DS version, the "The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles" will feature an auto-advancing story mode that will let players enjoy the games; storyline without going through its gameplay.
Shu Takumi, the Ace Attorney series director, said that the "The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles" will include 10 episodes and eight mini-escapades, as well as alternate costumes, art and music galleries and dual audio tracks in English and Japanese.
In addition, players who bought the game early will have access to an extra DLC called "From The Vaults," Polygon reported on Apr. 21.
Capcom will also bring another Ace Attorney series to major gaming platforms, including "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy."
First relaunched in 2019, the "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy" follows the titular Phoenix Wright, who is Naruhodo's descendant.
