A WhatsApp group is currently being accused of promoting the current TikTok April 24 Trend. If you haven't heard it yet, this new trend is about making "National Rape Day" a reality.

Right now, some women are warning other people about the disturbing trend.

"If anyone got plans on April 24th DONT GO OUT!!!! men are planning a national RAPE DAY STAY INSIDE!!!!," said one of the people who saw the video.

Some rumors claimed that the viral footage was posted by a group of six men. These guys are also those who allegedly created the disturbing TikTik April 24 Trend.

Millions of people who claimed that they saw the video, already shared their reactions on various social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and more.

Police are now investigating the WhatsApp group

Falmouth Packet UK reported that an alleged WhatsApp group is created and joined by men from Falmouth, United Kingdom. Because of this, the Cornwall Police department confirmed that it is now investigating the said group.

"Police have received a report of the existence of the WhatsApp group and are currently making inquiries regarding the credibility of the group," said the police department.

On the other hand, rumors claimed that some students from Falmouth University are also in the accused WhatsApp group. However, Cornwall Police hasn't released any confirmation yet regarding the accusation.

Meanwhile, one of the families, who have their daughters enrolled in Falmouth University, claimed that the WhatsApp group also has a name list for their targeted victims. The so-called "Rape List" is one of the major things that make the current issue alarming.

What you need to do

If there's a chance that you saw or received an invitation from a WhatsApp group that promotes the disturbing TikTok trend, the first thing you need to do is remember the names of the groups and their members.

After that, you can easily report the group by following the steps provided by WhatsApp's official website. Here is the exact guide:

  1. First, open the group's chat.
  2. After that, click the group name or contact number. This will allow you to view its profile info.
  3. Once you are there, you can now report the group by scrolling to the section's bottom part.
