Join the Themis Law Firm
To celebrate the opening of the Tears of Themis Closed Beta Registration, miHoYo also released its first official promotional videos - one in Chinese and another in the Japanese dubbed versions - on its own YouTube channel. Teasing a monitor with a regional crime rate graph, and a login sequence to the "Themis Law Firm," the 1:30 PV features the main cast so far. Players are introduced to a curious lineup, featuring their names, positions, and what seems to be their code names.
The first to be introduced is the auburn-haired Luke Pearce, the private detective with the code "Raven," brought to life by its CV Titus Jin. He is followed by the top attorney, code "Libra," Artem Wing with his CV Zhao Lu. The third is Marius Von Hagen, the Heir of Pax Group and codenamed "King," voiced by Yang Tianxiang. Lastly, the PV introduces the psychiatrist, codename "Adjudicator," named Vyn Richter, whose voice is provided by Jiang Guangtao.
These four unique characters - with their own backgrounds, personalities, skills, and identities - will be accompanying the player as the newest female lawyer pursues a legal journey with the Themis Law Firm. Conduct investigations and solve puzzles with these characters, experiencing every step of the way as they uncover the problems that plague the region as well as the development of their relationship with each of these four gentlemen. Players will be tasked to uncover the dark secrets of Stellis City, all while building a unique relationship with the Themis Law Firm member of their choice.
The trailer also teases the interface, of how players investigate a crime scene with various interactive details, as well as various points of interest on the crime suspect. Its graphics, much like an interactive visual novel, will surely get those brains working and those hearts pumping.
The latest updates on "Tears of Themis," described as "An Adventure of Romance and Wits," can be found on its official social media channels: YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
About miHoYo
Aside from its catchy slogan, "Tech otakus save the world!" miHoYo continues to enjoy prominence as a game publisher with its megahits Honkai Impact 3rd, which was originally released in China back in 2016, and Genshin Impact released just last year.
The Chinese game developer, headquartered in Shanghai, traces its origins to three self-confessed otakus from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. These three friends established the company back in 2012 and began enjoying moderate success in 2014 with Guns Girl Z. They would, however, break into the global market with Honkai Impact 3rd on mobile devices and would reach unprecedented heights with the action RPG game Genshin Impact.
