Daily Mail reported that the UK-based expert has given the TikTok user a "thumbs up" for her three tips when feeling people are feeling nauseous.

When it comes to the first hack, the woman was seen smelling rubbing alcohol which was placed in a small portion of the kitchen roll. Although she stated that the smell was unpleasant, she said that it was an effective trick in preventing nausea.

Shortly, Dr. Raj approved of the first hack and said that the alcohol has isopropyl ethanol which lightens the nauseous feeling. However, he reminded the users that users should not consume it but instead only inhale it.

The NHS doctor continued that the reason behind alcohol's effect on nausea is still unclear at the moment. He further said that this could fall as a placebo effect after stating that it could be connected to breathing which opposes its pharmacologic effect.

Furthermore, the user also demonstrated gagging and vomiting, but the nausea symptoms were immediately removed when she began to hum.

For the second hack, the doctor gave another approval with the humming which is deemed to alleviate gag reflex.

The doctor also put his thumb up and explained that humming suppresses the gag reflex. Also, the expert said that people could also find solutions like brushing the tongue with a toothbrush which could allay gagging.

Moreover, he suggested that people could also start listening to music or meditating while putting a pinch of salt on the tongue which also suppresses the gag reflex. However, he warned the users that the technique will not work for everyone.

The final hack shared by the user was a method to clear the sinuses. She explained that people could hold their tongue to the roof of their mouths, and later do a 20-second pressing of their thumbs to their foreheads, Mirror reported.

For the final act, Dr. Raj confirmed that it was effective since the hack could move the vomer bone which is important when a person wants to clear the sinuses.

Again, the expert advised anyone that this would not work for everybody. He added that people could try tipping the head back, and later squeezing their nose while holding their breath.

Dr. Raj stated in the end that it's still better to consult the doctors if the condition persists.

What the TikTok Users Say About Nausea Tips and Hacks

The post of the TikTok user has garnered over 14.5 million reactions at the moment. People have different opinions about the effectiveness of the method.

One user said that he had hummed as per the video only to realize that it was effective. Another user commented that when Dr. Karan verified the hack, she finally believed in it.

However, another user said that while humming is effective, her morning sickness continues for 35 weeks and it was not working for it.

Meanwhile, one person stated that his morning sickness had lasted for seven months while another claimed that the sinuses hack did not work for her after watching the viral TikTok video.
