Apple will finally give more color options! This has been revealed by a leaker.
More Color Variety to Pick From
Apple was said to soon feature a wider array of colors for its users to pick from, a prominent leaker reveals.
The new model for IMac will be featured in Apple's "Spring Loaded" event, as another leaker reveals that this might be an Apple Silicon launch.
Famous Leaker "L0vetodream" unveiled this information in a tweet, claiming that the company is set to release a number of different devices, including updated iPad models and an Apple Silicon version of the iMac.
Another hint came from Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech said Apple's 2021 iMac will feature a major redesign and will arrive in more colors than it has ever been in the past. The leaker indicated that Apple will bring fans on a trip to the past, back to the time when the iMac was still colorful. "They're giving us the colors back," Prosser says.
Take Your Pick
Prosser was allegedly told that prototypes for the new iMac use the same colors as the 2020 iPad Air, namely white, black, green, blue, and rose gold.
Previous rumors have claimed Apple was pondering on providing color options for the new iMac, such as in renders published in February. The models were said to be a blend of the Pro Display XDR and iPad Pro, complete with edge-to-edge displays and colors similar to the iPad Air.
Prosser said the upcoming iMacs will feature flatbacks and will have a slew of ports located at the lower-left side when viewed from its backside. The design seen in the video isn't said to be final yet, which might look different when the new Apple products finally come out.
iMac With an iPad-Pro Processor?
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently voiced out his concern of whether or not anyone else would find it odd that 'a big iMac' could possibly sport the same processor as an iPad Pro.
"Would anyone else find it odd if a big iMac was using essentially the same processor as an iPad Pro?" Gurman asks.
Gurman said the Cupertino tech giant is creating two different versions of the redesigned iMac. The two are codenamed J456 and J457, respectively, and will take the spot of the 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac available in the market now.
It is still uncertain whether or not M-series chips are similar to the famous A-series or if Apple plans to, instead, use a modified version of the M1 in the iMac.
What to Possibly Look Forward to in Apple's 'Spring Loaded' event?
- Varied Colors for iMac and other
- "M1X" as a 12-core CPU, up from the 8 cores in the M1
- Increased GPU from 8 cores to 16 cores
- The Phone's chip made using a 5-nanometer process, having 256 execution units versus 128 in the M1, generates three displays instead of two.
