The developer for the video game "Warhammer: Vermintide 2," Fatshark, has announced that the game's next update will introduce a rogue-lite inspired mode to the title.
'Warhammer: Vermintide 2' Update
According to TechRaptor, the latest update is called Chaos Wastes, and it is set to extend the scope of the end-game and introduce 15 new locations to "Warhammer: Vermintide" as well.
Each time that the player run through the new mode, these locations will be laid out differently, and contain different challenges for the player to fight through.
Players will need to understand the intricacies of classes, abilities, items, and boons if they wish to make it through to the City of Eternity at the center of the chaos.
The explanation from Fatshark stated that there will be no two expeditions that are the same. The choices that you make are more important than ever and can tip the scales, from life to death.
Players need to choose carefully as they equip new weapons, miracles, boons, and more as you progress through the expeditions, as per GameLiner.
The new title, Chaos Wastes, will be available in "Warhammer: Vermintide 2" on PC on Apr. 20 and will come to consoles sometime after. The update is completely free and will be applied to the game automatically.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 crafting weapons
"Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is very tricky. The new update will add new weapons, thus requiring players to learn how to craft, Screen Rant reported.
The main thrust of "Warhammer: Vermintide 2" is the crafting of weapons that is more complex due to new features and ways to use the said features. Players will need to be able to craft new weapons, upgrade weapons, and use the brand-new illusions system.
The first thing that players need to do is to salvage items.
Using the forge in their home base or the crafting menu, they have several options. Players could scrap all of the useless weapons that they have picked up, plus they could prioritize white weapons first as they are craftable and upgradable.
Crafting weapons is as simple as having the required items, slotting them in the correct places, and hitting the button. The new weapon will pop out with unique properties.
If the player adds a bad roll, they can spend some more resources to reroll them.
Players can use blacksmith templates to quickly create what they want, which players earn as they level up a specific hero or a random item that they craft without a template.
Upgrading items is done in its own menu, and there are the usual color-coded rarity tiers. White is the lowest, followed by green, blue, orange, and red at the top.
Upgrades all require scrap or dust, and the cost will go up the rarer the item. As soon as the player finds a weapon that they like, they need to make sure to keep it leveled up so it can stay effective as the difficulty level goes up.
Players will need to master this skill before Chaos Waste comes in order to be able to get and use the best new weapons offered by the upgrade.
