Canon has been reportedly working on its next high-end camera Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless which could be one of the most impressive sports cameras. At the moment, the company seems to be teasing its users for what's coming ahead to them.
From its now resurrected Eye Control AutoFocus feature to some of its astounding burst shooting capabilities, let's get to know what's in store in this upcoming camera.
Canon EOS R3 is a Hybrid of Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS 1D X Mark III
Tech Radar reported that the approaching release of Canon's next powerful cam will mean one thing - its special position between the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS 1D X Mark III.
While the previous cameras already showed excellent features through unbelievable shooting, this mirrorless flagship sports camera will feature an ultra-fast 30fps burst shooting through its electronic shutter along with the Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus scheme.
Not only the above-mentioned features could wow photography enthusiasts, but also its long-gone, ancient feature Eye Control AutoFocus, will return to the scene, PC Mag reported on Wednesday, Apr.14.
The forgotten feature is seen in the first cameras like the Canon EOS 3, and yet photographers still do not know what could be the twist behind this surprising comeback.
For real-world testing, its full-frame could satiate the users due to its convenience when it comes to usage. It also features a backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor on its stacked version.
For its new macro lens, the RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM is expected to appear with its ideal optical design which is different from the rest of the advanced cameras.
We could assume that its 100mm focal length could be a superior addition to its feature. Moreover, its 1.4:1 maximum magnification rating leaves a lot of questions that this model could also bring an endless focus through its well-built lens.
Furthermore, we should also expect to carry an optical stabilization which is perfect for using close focusing. For up to eight correction stops, the IS system functions in connection to the cameras which have in-body systems.
Without IBIS using RP or EOS R models, you would be granted up to five correction stops from the lens.
Apart from the above-mentioned features, it also boasts its protection against the weather, hence transforming it into a weather-resistant camera. It will also let you utilize its autofocus using the viewfinder.
Canon EOS R3 Expected Price and Launch Date
At the moment, Canon has not yet disclosed any official information about its release date and its price. However, speculations rose that it could bear the near price of the EOS 1D X Mark III.
The company's development announcement is only for an early tease of the camera, but the least of our worries could wait for its much-anticipated release within the next six months or so.
However, it is quite certain that the Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless could arrive upon the opening of the Tokyo Olympics on Jul. 23, 2021. Since this time is an ideal period to experiment with the shots, it could be a good headstart for the product's launch date.
Having said that, photographers would certainly want to test its features and to make sure that its reputation as an expected "powerful" camera will not be stained even in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic.
