"CoD: Warzone" latest patch notes badly weakened the current OP rifles, specifically AUG and FFAR 1. Aside from these, the popular shooting game also changed some attachments.
"This change intends to maintain the weapon's identity of being a powerhouse while making it a bit more difficult to wield," added Raven Software.
Since AUG's recoil has increased, players will find it difficult to aim at their enemies properly. Because of this, they need to use one magazine to kill one player.
On the other hand, the game developer also decreased FFAR 1's ADS speed. The game developer said it is too over-powered since it is an AR range and damage burst and an SMG's fire rate.
If you look at it, FFAR 1 is truly a one OP rifle that gives its users an enormous advantage against other players. This could be good news since it will give gamers a slight delay before they can pull up their sights in closer-range combat.
However, the change now prevents the players from using this at close-range fights.
Attachment changes
On the other hand, Raven Software also released some attachment changes that you should know:
- Rear Grip attachments that showed ADS speed pros should now properly increase ADS speed
- Salvo Fast Mag's bug is now fixed. This happens when the FFAR 1 and M16 are not having their ADS speed decreased
- Stat bar now properly displays the Pellington 703 Wrapped Suppressor effects
- Fixed a bug with the Ember Sighting Point where the XM4 and AK-47 had their ADS speed increased rather than decreased
Best AR alternatives
Although AUG and FFAR 1 are now weaker than before, there are still some assault rifles that you can use since they can also give the same damage output and accuracy that these two guns offer. Here is the list:
- DMR-14
- R9-0 Shotgun
- RAM-7
- MAC-10
- LC10
- FARA 83
- Stoner 63
- Kilo
- M16
- CR-56 AMAX
