Epic Games Down: How to Fix 'Invalid Client' Login Error— 'Fortnite' and MORE Games, Affected

Epic Games Store is currently suffering from a login issue, which affects various games such as "Fortnite," "Rocket League," and other EGS titles.

According to Express UK's latest report, players of Epic Games' popular titles complained that they are experiencing login issues. Down Detector, an independent outage monitor confirmed that there is a sudden spike in Epic Games' issue.

Various sources said that there are more than 1,000 markers. Most of them are allegedly issues of various Epic Games Store titles.

Epic Games fans are now describing their experiences on Twitter. One of the players said that the official Epic Games website is down on his side. He added that it will be great if the game publisher fixes the issue as soon as possible.

On the other hand, some players are still unsure if the login problem is only on their end.

"@EpicGames Can not log in. Is the log in down?" asked an Epic Games fan.

Meanwhile, the Twitter account Fortnite Status confirmed that it is really experiencing a sudden login issue. This account is connected with the popular battle royale title.

"We are investigating issues where logging into Epic Games accounts fails with the "Invalid Client" error and preventing from logging in to the game," said Fornite Status.

How to fix Epic Games' login issue

Right now, Epic Games is still working on the current issue. This means that there's no specific fix for the login problems that players are experiencing.


However, Game Revolution provided a possible method you can use to fix the issue. But, you need to remember that it is not 100% accurate. Here are the steps you need to follow:

Reboot the game you are currently playing

  • You can do this by simply closing the game application and then reopening it again.

Reboot Epic Games Store

  • This is only applicable when you are using a PC. All you need to do is right-click on the EGS app, which is located in the system tray. After that, you need to click the Exit option.
