Gary Whitta: Rogue One and Other Accomplishments
Gary Whitta is actually more popular for what he did in Star Wars Rogue One compared to a few other titles on his list. According to DevelopConference, Gary Whitta used to be the editor-in-chief of PC Gamer magazine and is also very popular for his screenwriting work in The Book of Eli that starred Denzel Washington.
He's also co-wrote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Will Smith's After Earth. He has another popular piece of work being the story consultant for the popular Telltale Games' the Walking Dead in which he became the co-recipient of the BAFTA award for Best Story.
More recently, he was a writer for the Star Wars Rebels animated TV series. For other games he has been involved with aside from "Gears of War", Gary Whitta has been thanked for the creation of "Halo 5: Forge" and "Halo 5: Guardians" according to MobyGames.
Gary Whitta, Hiring
According to his Twitter post, Gary Whitta is now looking for website designers or builders. He also mentioned that applicants would have to message him with a resume and sample work, and he would take a look at them to see if they are a good fit.
In only a couple of hours, he had to block everything possibly due to the influx of applicants. He then followed up the tweet saying he will reach out to the applicants who are a good fit. As of the moment, it's still pretty baffling to think of what Gary Whitta could be up to next.
While he is known as a creative in both the gaming and the film industry, his work spreads out to different segments of the media that fans could only wonder what he might be doing next. It is still unconfirmed as to whether he is doing something related to gaming or to the film industry or maybe something completely different.
Gears of War, Hiring
Although not confirmed to be related, an article by GamingBolt a month ago noted that Gears of War is actually hiring people to work on what they noted as the "next-generation Gears experience." Since it's already been a month, it is still unclear as to whether the positions they were previously looking to fill are still searching for applicants.
