"Outriders" was released at the start of the month and iconically, on April Fool's Day, but it seems that it was the one "fooled" as the company faced massive server down and connectivity issues that led it to go offline on Friday, April 2. Square Enix has faced a lot of problems with the release of "Outriders" and one of them was its matchmaking and crossplay features.
Square Enix Shuts 'Outriders' Offline
The game's demo launch may have been a success, but its actual release and public launch are not that impressive especially as it hindered gamers to play the game with its unforeseen issues for its gameplay. The co-operative multiplayer third-person shooting game was one of the most highly rated launches during its demo, but disappointing fans with its full version.
Square Enix (@SquareEnix) and Outriders (@Outriders) have been addressing the server down issues with its Twitter accounts, and have been updating players and fans of the status of the game's servers under maintenance. In the recent update by the "Outriders" Twitter page, it seems that the global servers are back online, while the US region remains in the dark.
While the US region servers are still in the dark, the company said that it has put it back online, but would continue to monitor any changes or problems, ready to fix and accommodate problems from its gamers. Users can report any server down issues directly to Square and the "Outriders" team if ever there are any issues to address the problem.
'Outriders' Hell Ranger's Content Pack: How to Redeem
On a separate note, most pre-orders are only getting through the game now, especially as the title was only released yesterday for people to enjoy and have a first-hand experience with it. The pre-order has guaranteed the "Hell Ranger's Content Pack" that brought most weapon types there is and armor pieces for the co-op shooting game.
According to Game Rant, players need to initially download and install the Hell Ranger's Content Pack via the game's listing from Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, or Epic Games' platform or via the in-game store. After installing it, the pack is not yet available as players need to accomplish a tutorial mode that would take them to the game's center, Rift Town.
Additionally, the items can only be equipped once players reach level 10, and have the necessary experience to handle the premium offers of the content pack. To access the items, players need to head to the area where matchmaking can be toggled, along with the chest where customization of appearance and weapons are accessible.
From here, the items and weapons can be equipped.
