April Fool's Day posts are everywhere, and we are never sure that every piece of information published today, Apr. 1, is true or just too good to be true. "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege," said that it will be releasing its YGS1.1 patch notes. Is this a prank?
Ubisoft's online tactical shooting video game will now be available on select gaming consoles such as Xbox platforms, PS4, and PS5. The game developers announced that the ongoing maintenance for YGS1.1 is not an April Fool's Joke.

According to the official tweet of the @RainbowSixGame page, the YGS1.1 patch will begin this Apr.1. There will also be a downtime of 30 minutes for the maintenance, meaning that you will not be able to play the game in the process.
In particular, there will be various patch sizes for different gaming consoles. For the Xbox users, the patch will begin at 9:00 EDT or 13: UTC. More importantly, Xbox One's patch size will be 1.33 GB while the Xbox Series X will have a much bigger patch size of 2.27 GB.

Moreover, the patch size for the Ubisoft Connect was not mentioned in the tweet. However, the official page of Ubisoft's 'Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege' stated that the patch size for the platform will be 1.56 GB if a live build was installed with HD PACK.
On the other hand, if the live build was installed without the HD PACK, the patch size will only be 1.44 GB.
With that being said, some players still considered Ubisoft's announcement to be an April Fool's prank. One user said that what the developer is doing is only reverse psychology.
Just some simple reverse psychology going here

While the majority of users spoke about the update being bogus, other users pointed out some problems like glitches that happen in the game. One user requested the developers to fix the double-MMR issue in a 5-man party.
Hey fix double mmr issues ,in 5 person team 4 left 1 stay then they ll comeback and that person left and connect it gives double mmr fix it,when we loose giving double and win taking half of mmr from normaly what it gives
— Hasanbasrican42 (@hasanbasrican42) April 1, 2021
There are also comments highlighting the MMR bugs of acquiring or reducing 150 ELO changes after a loss. Another user reported a one-round cancel glitch where one team immediately cancels the game causing the other team to restart finding a match.
