Google's Incognito Mode: How to NOT Allow Websites Track Search History; How Vivaldi Browser Works

Google is currently on a bad seat since its Chrome Incognito Mode, which is supposed to be securing the users' browsing activities, is allegedly allowing websites to track search history. Bloomberg previously reported that the search engine giant is facing a lawsuit after it was accused of tracking users when they are using Chrome's private browsing mode.

According to Forbes' latest report, the default search engine of the users still remains Google, which could lead to linking your sensitive data to your IP address.

"Incognito mode in Chrome gives you the choice to browse the internet without your activity being saved to your browser or device," defended Google against the accusation.

"As we clearly state each time you open a new incognito tab, websites might be able to collect information about your browsing activity during your session," added the tech giant firm.

Chrome Incognito's best replacement

Various experts claimed that a new browser might be able to protect users' privacy more efficiently. Right now, it is suggested that people switch to using Vivaldi, a web browser that is also built on Google Chrome's engine. It is also compatible with all of Chrome's extensions.

The great thing about the Vivaldi browser is that it offers a safer feature set, including a more secured privacy mode. This Incognito alternative mode of Vivaldi is called Private Window. Although it also doesn't prevent websites or internet service providers from monitoring your search activities, it still has far superior security capabilities.

Is Vivaldi better than Chrome browser?

Vivaldi is considered a better alternative for Google Chrome since it has greater privacy protections. Its settings have a section called the Privacy tab, which provides the users an option to prevent trackers and ads. Aside from this, the new web browser also doesn't store users' information. This includes browsing history and bookmarks. If you want to know more details, all you need to do is click here.
