'Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020' Shows 'Evergreen' Ship Stuck on Suez Canal—New Bulldozer Game Surfaces

The Suez Canal is known for its strategic route that cuts 8,900 kilometers (5,530 miles) for maritime trades in Asia, Africa, and the European region, and was around since 1869 from the Suez Canal Company. Currently, it is the site of a global issue in which an "Evergreen" cargo ship has blocked the route for almost a week now, with officials having a hard time dislodging it.

The internet has gone crazy in handling the news about the Suez Canal's issues as of the moment, especially as memes entered the scene with jabs at the efforts to remove the cargo ship that blocked the route. Moreover, apart from memes, the popular media has caught on with its sighting on the popular simulator game, "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020" (MSFS 2020).

On the other hand, the stuck Evergreen ship in the Suez Canal also has its own game, entitled "Suez Canal Bulldozer," which was created by Eric Wilder and allows people to control the small bulldozer in the game. The international issue is a massive one for the entire world, and people are coping with it by using games and the media.

'Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020:' Stuck Ship on Suez Canal

According to Twitter user Mat Velloso (@matvelloso), a TikTok video made by "@donut_enforcement" shows a "fly-by" look of the Suez Canal Evergreen ship that was added in the game by developers. Here, as people use the simulator game as they pass through the Mediterranean Sea and the canal itself, they could see the lodged ship.

"Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020" is known for copying real-life situations in terms of air travel, landmarks, and weather situations, but this was the first that the sim game has copied a real-time phenomenon. The Suez Canal Evergreen ship is not a landmark or something that would be on its spot for a lifetime, but MSFS 2020 surely included it for everyone to see.

The TikToker has dubbed "MSFS 2020" as a "savage" for putting the stuck ship on Suez Canal, also taking a jab against the global phenomenon which is mostly trending on all social media platforms and news outlets. Map developers have also updated within the game, showing hi-res photos, as if in an actual flyby in the area.

'Suez Canal Bulldozer'

On the other hand, another game has also surfaced amidst the Suez Canal issue, and that is called the "Suez Canal Bulldozer" which features the tiny bulldozer (compared to the ship), to dislodge it from the canal. Eric Wilder's game has been a massive hit, with its title being popular among social media and has been part of the trends.

The game can be played online, with players not required to download and buy the game, and is a straightforward one that allows people to be the operator and be in the area of the Suez Canal with the ship. This game is perfect for people who enjoyed the bulldozer memes, giving them a "David vs. Goliath" gameplay against the gigantic cargo ship.
