In now-deleted details from Qualcomm's official website, Qualcomm will feature the Snapdragon 780G 5G to be its first chip to use 5nm in the family of Snapdragon 700 processors.

Wikimovel wrote that Samsung Foundry was the one that created the new chipset. It is similar to the Snapdragon 888, the most recent flagship of the San Diego-headquartered semiconductor giant.

Furthermore, it has two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores found in its octa-core set. Both CPU cores are functioning at 2.4 GHz. Meanwhile, the six Cortex-A55 cores work at 1.8 GHz. There is also an Adreno 642 GPU that manages the system's graphics.

Moreover, its download speed could reach up to 3.3 Gbps when it comes to sub-6-GHz networks, thanks to its Snapdragon X53 5G Modem- RF system.

In connection to the Snapdragon 780G 5G, this is the first time that the company will make use of Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 to cope up with the system's sound technology.

The Snapdragon 780G 5G can reach a whopping speed of 3.6 Gbps on Wi-Fi 6 through its FastConnect 6900 Connectivity System. Besides the said wifi type, it could also work on Wi-Fi 6E.

The soon-to-launch 5G chip will also acquire the Qualcomm AI Engine, together with the Hexagon 770 processor. When working with AI, it can reach 12 Tera Operations per second.

Furthermore, Qualcomm said that its chip will feature AI-powered voice-and-video updates, where noise suppression and digital assistant are involved.

When it comes to gaming, Snapdragon 780G 5G will surely take you to a high level of experience through its 10-bit HDR and high-end GPU drivers. It will be one of the best beast gaming chips to hit this 2021.

Is Spectra 570 ISP the Best Feature of Snapdragon 780G 5G?

According to a report by Android Headlines, Snapdragon 780G 5G will be the first 700 series SoC to adopt the Qualcomm Spectra 870, or the triple Image Signal Processor (ISP). Through this feature, wide, ultra-wide, and zoom lenses can be used at the same time.

Considering the worsening condition of semiconductor shortage, Qualcomm still managed to pull out the new 4K HDR feature which highlights smoother photo quality even under dark conditions.

"Since introducing the Snapdragon 7-series three years ago, more than 350 devices have launched based on 7-series mobile platforms. Today, we are continuing this momentum by introducing the Snapdragon 780G 5G Mobile Platform," Qualcomm Vice President Kedar Kondap said.

The company spoke that the release of the devices which will use Snapdragon 780G 5G is in the second quarter of the year.
