Elon Musk recently tweeted that the construction for Nüwa, a.k.a. Mars Base Alpha, would not be setting foot in 2054, but the company hopes it to be starting this 2020 decade after it successfully clears its Starships. Currently, the next Starship is the SN11, which is under its construction and assembly, which the company aims for a Super Heavy Booster rocket flight.
One of the most popular and successful space agencies and aerospace manufacturers in the world, SpaceX, is up to a new task from its CEO, and this time, they are in a race against time to provide a working Starship. Why? Because Elon Musk enthusiastically aims for the Mars Base Alpha (a city in Mars) to start construction this decade. The company only has less than eight years for that to expire, until another claim by Musk, after denying the original plans for more than 20 years from now.
Initially, ABIBOO's revelations to Euronews mentioned the Mars Base Alpha, and one of its five cities, Nuwa, that was set for 2054, with Elon Musk saying that it would not be made in this lifetime. However, it seems that the CEO is taking back what he originally said and aims for the stars, saying that this decade would mark its first construction in the Red Planet.

Elon Musk: Mars Base Construction to Begin this Decade with SpaceX
SpaceX was the sole "Mars" contender before, but it seems that the company would have someone to get it done with, and that is the start-up space company called ABIBOO, which is a known architectural studio company. SpaceX is the brawns, and ABIBOO has the brains to debut its design and vision for the Mars Base, with Elon Musk in the center.
However, both companies were opposing each other, especially as the space manufacturer plans an earlier arrival on Mars, which is anytime this decade. Instead of 2054 that was unveiled by ABIBOO, SpaceX is planning to be there by this period (2020-2029), according to Elon Musk (@elonmusk) via Twitter on Sunday, March 21.
Initially, this was quoted by SpaceX fan and enthusiast Chris B - NSF (@NASASpaceflight) which said that it would not be in 2054, but an earlier phase among SpaceX's plans and vision. The tweet unveiled that Elon Musk's SpaceX is on the verge of planning its expedition to Mars and establishing a base there, with the CEO and company in the center.
Elon Musk: SpaceX's Mars Construction This Decade, Starship Vessel
With everything that has been said and done, Elon Musk's SpaceX would not be able to reach Mars and begin the Mars Base Alpha construction if their Starship project does not deliver a working prototype. Up-to-date, the Starships have all exploded upon its descent and landing in their test flights, and that is still within the planet.
However, it seems like the SN11 would be the promised one for the Starship project, as the company almost nailed the landing and return of the SN10, with only a lander complication that made it explode. Moreover, the company aims to have a "Full Stack" July Test Launch that combines a towering Starship and Super Heavy Booster rocket underneath.
