ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and Pro to Have 144Hz AMOLED, AeroActive Cooler 5.25% Lesser Bezels

ASUS finally unveils the new ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and ROG Phone 5 Pro. These two new smartphone flagships are expected to offer new advanced features that will take your gaming experience to a whole new level.

Both of them pack the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is not that surprising since ASUS usually gets its smartphone chipsets from Qualcomm. Aside from this, ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and Pro will have a 6.78-inch Samsung-made AMOLED display from the 6.59 inches on its predecessor, which is HDR10+ certified. Their screens also have 111% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and 151% of sRGB.

Thanks to these additional features, the two new smartphone flagships of ASUS will have brighter and more detailed displays, which will improve the user's gaming experience. To make it easier for you, ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and Pro have 800 nits at APL100, allowing their screens to have a full white display.

On the other hand, these new smartphones will be bundled with the latest AeroActive Cooler 5, which reduces surface temperature by 15C and chipset temperature by 10C. Thanks to ASUS's innovation in its diagonal screen, ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and Pro now have 25% lesser bezels, allowing users to view more visuals of their games.

How much will they cost?

The Verge stated that the new ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate will cost around $1,583 or 1,299 Euros. On the other hand, the Pro version will have a lesser price, which is approximately $1,420 or 1,191 Euros. Although they are pretty expensive, their price tags are still reasonable since they offer features that will make your games look sharp and run smoothly.
