There is a pattern for the richest people in the technology business: they are all men. However, that does not mean that women entrepreneurs of technology do not exist. There are a lot of women who make billions from the technology industry. Here are the top 10 of the most notable ladies.

Here are the richest women in the tech industry, according to Forbes' Real-time Billionaires list.

1. MacKenzie Scott $52.1B, Amazon

Making $60bn off writing novels and being divorced from the world's richest man Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott is known as one of TIME Magazine's top 100 most influential people.

2. Laurene Powell Jobs $18.8B, Apple/Disney

She is the widow of Steve Job and is a major shareholder in Apple and Disney.

3. Zhou Qunfei $14.8B, smartphone screens

Originally set for a government job in local security, she instead managed by creating Lens Technology, Apple, Huawei, and Samsung's smartphone screen maker.

4. Wang Laichun $10.4B, electronics components

Chairwoman and part-owner of the electronics manufacturer Luxshare Precision Industry, Wang Laichun is a major component supplier. One of Wang Laichun's biggest customers is the Apple company.

5. Zeng Fangqin $6.5B, smartphone components

Zeng Fangquin is the chairwoman of the major company Lingyi Technology. The company is a major components supplier for smartphones, tablets, and laptops with customers like Apple and Huawei products.

6. Meg Whitman $5.6B, eBay

Even as the CEO of eBay, Meg Whitman has her investments in well-known tech companies such as Disney, Dropbox, HP and Quilbi

8. Judy Faulkner $5.5B health IT

Faulkner is the CEO and founder of Epic Systems, a major healthcare software. This system is used worldwide by a majority of hospitals to hold the medical records of their patients.

9. Margot Birmingham Perot $4.1B computer services/real estate

Perot is the widow of the late H. Ross Perot, Sr. The Perot Systems, which she inherited, is an information technology service provider utilized in health care, manufacturing, banking, government, insurance, and other organizations. They specialize in digitizing and automating the company's records.

10. Melissa Ma $3.6B Internet Search

Melissa Ma is one of the founders of Asia Alternatives Management, a private equity firm. This is also a solutions platform tasked with managing a company's portfolios for funds, buyouts, and its growth.

Lori J. Ryerkerk, Chairman, CEO, and President, Celanese

Ryerkerk is the CEO of the technology and materials firm Celanese. The company operates 6 research centers and 25 plants worldwide. The company is also the leading producer of acetic acid while developing fuel and industrial materials for technology.

Lisa Su, President and CEO, AMD

CEO Mary Barra is the first female CEO of the major automotive company General Motors and a long-term employee of theirs. They make a trend for the automotive companies becoming increasingly technological, with GM testing on public roads these autonomous vehicles.
