Apple Music is not exclusive to the artificial intelligence assistant, Siri, particularly with the arrival of the iOS 14.5 that is currently in beta testing mode for developers and early users with users now allowed to change their preferences. "Hey Siri" is not limited to iOS applications anymore, and it is a massive change for the company because it initially closed up its services to third-party apps.
Apple has been known for the exclusivity of its services that only feature built-in applications for default functions, as the company aims to be self-sustainable and an enterprise of its own in this massive world of tech. Initially, Apple only allows Safari as the default browser but several tweaks have opened up its services to Google and other applications.
Siri is one of the most "Apple" services and functions there is, so understandably, the company would only be making a device's built-in applications to be controlled by the AI assistant and deliver its full functions. However, it seems that everything changes and nothing lasts forever, as, after several years, the company caved in and now allows integration.

Apple Siri Music Default App is Now Changeable
A lot of people have been fans and users of the Swedish streaming application, Spotify, which has been around since 2008, delivering one of the earliest subscription services in the world for media and music. Apple also followed this move, as the company changed its iTunes to Apple Music and began music streaming and hosting a platform for artists.
According to Tech Crunch, Siri's Music application cannot change its default choices per se, rather, it would be basing the app that it would launch on whichever application is used mostly by the device owner. For example, for this month, the user has been using Spotify's services daily, Siri would pattern its next voice command launch on the most used feature.
Saying "Hey Siri, play The Beatles" would launch in Spotify, and would play the song or look for the band's artist page, top songs, and albums for the users to choose among them. This would be interchangeable, to different music streaming applications like Deezer, Tidal, YouTube Music, and Apple Music.
It would vary for whichever application is used by the user, and Siri would learn this based on patterns and behaviors, with Apple saying that it may change in the following weeks or months to come.
