Twitch has been around for gamers since the early stages of online games and has been side-by-side with YouTube in providing game streams and montages from popular gamers in the platform.

Before it was Twitch, it already served as a haven for content creators to share insane game records and skills and has been the grounds for most gaming behavior.

From calm and nurturing gamers to trash-talking and aggressive attitude, it has all been carried out by Twitch and indirectly promoted these kinds of portrayal to different age groups that are its audience.

Twitch may have age verifications for the age-restricted content on the platform, however, it cannot filter out all of its viewers especially as they try to access the platform.

According to Twitch's report, this is a first for the company, and its results have unusual results, which have a mix of negative and positive findings for the year 2020.

The company is doing this for the transparency and knowledge of its fans and viewers, particularly as it evolves into a platform in these times where online entertainment is on a blast.

Twitch reported that whenever there are cases of violence on the platform, several users and audiences contact the police and instate a case against the influencer that portrays the disturbing act. However, as Twitch aims to demote these kinds of acts, they took it upon themselves to contact law enforcement when such behavior occurs on the platform.

Up to date, 38 police cases were made, as Twitch provided personal information to law enforcement officials about certain acts and behavior to control and penalize them of their actions.

The gaming platform company suspected that this was because of the COVID-19 pandemic where users were made to stay at home and face lockdown restrictions.

Over a year ago, Dr DisRespect, a Twitch influencer, recently got a multi-million dollar streaming deal with the gaming platform, only to disappear from it several months later and never returning. The "Call of Duty" influencer eventually observed a hiatus, only to return several months later on a new platform with Google's YouTube gaming.

According to Talk eSport, Twitch has repeatedly asked about the permanent ban but has avoided it since. However, in recent events, Twitch addressed the ban with Dr DisRespect but remains unclear as to what particular action the influencer portrayed on the platform that led to his ban and removal. Twitch's statement only mentioned that it would talk about it once all details and evidence are present.
