'Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point' Crossover Miniseries

Polygon reports that DC Comics and Epic Games partner up for a "Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point" miniseries that will launch on April 20 and publishes twice a month beginning of May this year. Each print issue will include bonus codes for the in-game items inspired by the comic storyline and a new Rebirth Harley Quinn outfit. Readers who claim all six codes can unlock a new armored Batman outfit in "Fortnite."

Each issue of the "Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point" will cost readers $4.99, with the card stock variant cover versions available for $5.99 each.

"Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point" writer Christos Gage stated that this series will reveal this about the game's lore that has never been seen or heard before yet are very much part of the game's story. Gage added that it would be fun to make a series out of a game, and the writer was amazed how deeply the team has been diving into the secrets behind the world of "Fortnite," as CBR reports.

Gage stated that he is looking forward to integrating other DC Super Heroes into the series, characters that Batman has existing relations with. "It'll be exciting to share with fans how these relationships will be reshaped in this new world. The art from Reilly, Christian, Nelson, and John is stunning, and my prediction is that this series will blow everybody's mind, whether you're a fan of DC, Batman, or Fortnite," Gage stated.

'Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point' Plot Summary

According to The Verge, the "Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point" miniseries plot summary will open with a crack that splits the sky above Gotham City, and this rift pulls Batman into a new and uncharted world, with no memory of who he is or where he came from. And soon as he realizes it, the Dark Knight is already in the world of Fortnite.

Batman fights as he recalls his past and escapes an endless loop of chaos and struggle. He will come face-to-face with the likes of Renegade Raider, Fishstick, Bandolier, and more. While the World's Greatest Detective strives to make sense of this strange world, the Dark Knight will unravel the shocking truth about the Island, what lies beyond the Loop, and how everything is connected to the mysterious world of "Fortnite."

This will not be Batman's first crossover with "Fortnite." The Dark Crusader and Catwoman were added as skins alongside a playable Gotham City area in 2019, and Epic Games has since added skins for Harley Quinn, The Joker, and Poison Ivy as well.

Batman is not the only DC Superhero added to "Fortnite" this year, as Epic Games recently added a Flash Skin modeled after the Arrowverse TV Series. The Battle-Royale game also added Ellen Ripley and the Alien Xenomorph from the "Alien" movie in 1979.
