Redmi K40 Series Specs, Features, and More: Same OLED With The Samsung S21 Ultra

As Xiaomi prepares to release its newest variant of the Redmi series, news of the specifications and features will come out on the upcoming Redmi K40 and the Redmi K40 Pro.

Redmi K40 Specs

According to Gadgets 360, the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro will feature a 4,520mAh battery and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display of 120Hz refresh rate that claimed to have an enhanced viewing experience for its users.

The upcoming variant will also feature a flat display and a minimal hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera with a 2mm size, teasing it to have the record for the smallest camera featured in a phone.

In addition to the displays and cameras, the Redmi variant is slated to have a dual stereo audio output powered by Dolby Atmos surround sound for a good viewing experience when watching videos or listening to music.

GizmoChina reports that the K40 will feature a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and comes with an 8GB DDR5 RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will support 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6 and will be running on the latest Android 11 OS with the company's own MIUI 12.5 on top.

Besides that, both variants are confirmed to have received 230,000 reservations through JD.com on February 19. The company has a vast number of reservations for the new Redmi device in only three days.

It is also stated that the Redmi K40 will be known worldwide as the Redmi Note 10 Pro that will happen on Feb. 25 in China. The company will unveil the Redmi Note series in India on Mar. 4, ahead of which Xiaomi has teased that the series will have displays that are as bright as the iPhone 12 Pro.

Redmi K40 Pro Specs and Rumors

On the other hand, the Pro version may have a higher feature compared to its counterpart. In a report from Notebook Check, Xiaomi teased that the Redmi K40 Pro will have the same OLED displays with Samsung S21 Ultra variants that have the E4 display due to Xiaomi calling the Taiwan-based company for supply panels.

The E4 120Hz display would be a more significant upgrade than its predecessor, the Redmi K30 Pro (POCO F2 Pro), and put the Redmi K40 Pro on par with the Redmi K30 Ultra.

Unlike the Redmi K40, the Redmi K40 Pro will flaunt a unique pattern in the back as Xiaomi has posted an image, suggesting a distinct design on the new phones with diagonal strikes.

Other than that, there are speculations that the Redmi K40 Pro could house the fastest processor in the market right now, as Gadget 360 stated that the Pro variant would feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC. However, it is still not set in stone, but only a few days are left until both the Redmi variants are presented to the mass market.
