Japanese video game company Nintendo announced the newest Mario game that will let you experience golf to the fullest: "Mario Golf Super Rush." On Feb.17, the gaming giant revealed at the Nintendo Direct presentation that the official launch of the game will be on June 25.

For those who love scoring birdies, especially the sporty gamers, the game will likely be the center of attraction. Since 2014 when the first part of the game "Mario Golf: World Tour" was revealed for 3DS, fans have been waiting for the next installment of the series. Now, your prayers were already answered so you could now say that it is all worth your wait.

In a report by Looper, the game boasted its various golf courses that are rich in designs for more expansive gameplay. The players will get to strategize how to tee off extraordinarily since this is not your typical golf game. From the trailer, it was divulged that players could land a shot in perfection, so it is better to note some way how to do it.

Furthermore, there is this so-called Shot Gauge, an in-game feature that will let you know how your shot will curve to the slope. There is also a Scan feature that you can use to zoom out the golf course so you could assess where to land your shots better.

For the motion controls, the trailer revealed that you can now use the motion controls. It can be seen in the video that a player is using a Joy-Con, so you can feel the sensation of swinging your golf club like you are the main character. Moreover, there are different modes in the game including Speed Golf, where it lets you race to get your ball after teeing off.

If you are thinking of its new characters, there is a vast pool of them which you can pick for your adventure. Some of the characters that appeared in the trailer are Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and Bowser to name a few.

'Mario Golf Super Rush' Gameplay

Of course, this is a Mario game so expect that this will not be a normal golf game that only starts by hitting golf and ending with a score. Speed Golf, a new mode that was mentioned above will also let you compete with other players for the fastest goal scored. The fun does not stop there.

Like Mario Kart, all characters have corresponding abilities that differ from one another. This makes the game more exciting as you can uniquely defeat your opponent in a colorful fashion. For an instance, Nintendo said that Luigi is granted the power to freeze the green, while King Bob-omb can hurl the bombs to the golf course.

The upcoming game also features a story mode where you can create your own custom character. You can also level your character up by upgrading your skill so you can be included in the leaderboards of the Mushroom Kingdom. Furthermore, let's wait until June for the game's release to see what other features it will offer.

What Other Games Are Revealed at Nintendo Direct?



According to CNET, besides "Mario Golf Super Rush," other games that were announced include "Splatoon 3," a remastered version of "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword," and the "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" featuring Pyra and Mythra from the "Xenoblade Chronicles 2."
