'Genshin Impact' 1.4 Update: Release Date, Expected Characters, Rosaria Banner, and More

"Genshin Impact" 1.3 is still in the middle of its event, specifically the Lantern Rite Festival featuring the Xiao banner and a Theater Mechanicus tower defense mode, but despite the ongoing festivities in-game and the upcoming banners this month, fans are already looking forward to the future, aka update 1.4.

'Genshin Impact' Update 1.4 Release Date

Game developer miHoYo has not shared any details about "Genshin Impact" update 1.4, but the rumor mill is already moving and fans are already talking about possible inclusions in the next major update, including obtainable characters and the imminent addition of a new region.

But first of all, when does update 1.4 releases?

According to ScreenRant, miHoYo is keeping up with scheduled releases of game updates every six weeks, so if there are no delays, "Genshin Impact" update 1.4 might arrive on Mar. 17, given that update 1.3 came on Feb. 3, but this could change at any moment and may also depend on time zones.

If correct, players still have plenty of time to enjoy update 1.3 or save some Primogens for the next five-star character.

Ayaka Five-Star Pull, Plus Rosaria?

Fans are also assuming more obtainable characters coming with the next major update, speculating that playable options like Ayaka and Mimi are coming, with Ayaka as the featured character and the next five-star pull.

So far, we know that Ayaka is Cryo and uses a sword as her choice of weapon, but her release date has not been confirmed yet, although her skills and abilities have already been shown in a gameplay video in the past as players suggested she might appear in previous updates.

But according to HITC, a character named Rosaria will also likely be coming in the next update.

Based on the rumors going around, Rosaria will be featured in a banner alongside a Venti re-run banner, with leaks suggesting she'll be a four-star pull.

Alleged Skills and Abilities, Plus New Region

Furthermore, Rosaria's skills and abilities have also apparently been leaked online.

According to the online hub Honey Hunting World, Rosaria is a Cryo character who uses a Polearm as a weapon, with her normal attack performing up to five consecutive jabs and a charged attack that allows her to lunger forward and deal damages to enemies on her path.

Meanwhile, her alleged plunge attack deals AoE damage to enemies on the ground upon impact.

Her abilities have also been leaked, such as the Last Rites that summons an Ice Lance that would strike the ground and deal periodic Cryo DMG to surrounding enemies.

Nevertheless, Rosaria banner has not been confirmed yet, so take the news with a pinch of salt.

"Genshin Impact" fans are also highly anticipating the addition of a new region called Inazuma, which is frequently rumored and what fans believed will be added on update 1.3, but like with past rumors, miHoYo has not confirmed that they will be adding the new region on "Genshin Impact" update 1.4 or anytime soon, so before raising your hopes up, wait for further announcement from the game developers.
