Elon Musk's Tesla has now been able to compete not just with other electric vehicle companies but rather other car companies in general! In a recent podcast by Joe Rogan on Spotify, Elon Musk came on the show and revealed quite a few interesting facts about his company Tesla and many more.
Elon Musk noted that the lithium-ion batteries that are used in the Tesla are actually mostly made up of nickel and iron. These two minerals are known as two of the most common to collect and also make them non-conflict with other minerals. The key to Tesla's success, aside from what the car offers and how safe it is, is the fact that manufacturing for the Tesla is most of the time done in-factory and most of the parts are manufactured by the company themselves which eliminate both the cost of shipping as well as a much cheaper production cost.

It was noted in the podcast that Elon Musk actually judges the success of Tesla depending on how many years the company has been able to accelerate the advent of sustainable energy. The road towards efficiency and self-sustenance is something Elon Musk is known to drive on as his other companies like The Boring Company and even SpaceX follow a similar principle.
Elon Musk revealed in the podcast that his interest in the world of electric cars actually started out in high school due to him realizing that one day the whole world would eventually run out of oil. Something that Elon Musk revealed that some time during his summer internship when he was still in college, Elon Musk actually worked for a certain company that was researching some sort of high-end-density capacitors in batteries. One of the most obvious examples of sustenance and efficiency in Elon Musk's companies is SpaceX as the companies try to reuse the whole rocket making space flights significantly cheaper.
