Elon Musk has already noted for a few years that the CEO actually wants to be able to offer a particular rocket thruster package in order to increase what customers are now experiencing with the ludicrous speed of the Tesla Roadster second-gen. Recently, the Tesla CEO then noted that he is also considering using the said thrusters in order to make the Tesla Roadster hover as well.

According to the story by TheVerge, Elon Musk noted in an interview in Joe Rogan's popular podcast that he actually wants it to hover and that he was already trying to find out just how to make this particular thing hover noting "without, you know, killing people." The statement was given on a new episode of the popular Joe Rogan Experience that was just released on Thursday.
He then clarified that "maybe it can hover probably a meter over the ground or perhaps something like that. He then noted that if users would plummet, he wants it to blow out the suspensions so that the users won't die. The article then noted that it is quite an extraordinary idea, and one that is actually sure to be able to create a headache for certain safety regulators should Elon Musk actually choose to go through with it when the upcoming Roadster will hit the markets later on in 2022.
Tesla U-shaped steering wheel
Elon Musk reportedly has a history of being able to push boundaries along with the Tesla cars. However, he actually seems more willing lately to actually make choices that could potentially force certain regulators to act on. The new redesigned Model S sedan as well as the Model X SUV was previously announced some time last month, for instance, and each actually featured the U-shaped yoke steering wheel.
This was reportedly quite a surprise to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to an article by CNet. Those brand new vehicles would also automatically be able to shift in between parking, neutral, reverse, and even drive.

Rogan also asked Elon Musk whether or not the steering wheel was deemed legal in a new interview. Elon Musk then said yes and then clarified that they use a yoke inside the Formula One. Joe Rogan then noted that the Formula One car isn't being used on the highway, noting that he enjoys driving like this, being able to rest his hand on top of the steering wheel.
Elon Musk then said that the autopilot is becoming good enough for drivers not needing to drive most of the time anymore and that he finds that he can rest his hand on his knee as it already works great. Elon Musk previously bought James Bond's popular submarine car coming from The Spy Who Loved Me back in 2013 as he pledged to make a transformation.
