Rogue Company Kicks Off First Season With New Rogue and Battle Pass

Cross-platform multiplayer shooter Rogue Company, developed by First Watch Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios, unveils its first major update with Season One, introducing a new playable Rogue and new rewards with the season battle pass.

The huge update has been rolled out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC, as well as its native platform Xbox Series X & S. The patch includes Kestrel - the new Rogue unlockable for free by playing games and completing tasks - the Season One Battle Pass, as well as balancing its ranked gaming.

"Save the day. Look good. Get paid." Meet Kestrel, the Newest Rogue

Kestrel was first shown with a cinematic reveal last Feb. 4, revealing a bit of her background and her abilities. As the CEO and founding member of the Rogue Company, Kestrel was shown seated at her office as a strike team of Jackal mercenaries advances to her location. Talking at ease with The Director, she disposes of the enemies with an assault rifle and deploys her Halo Drones - attached to her sleeve - to eliminate the rest.

Her official in-game lore establishes her as a retired agent called back to the fray. Armed with a pair of automatic weapons and her rocket-firing drones, Kestrel is expected to shake things up by introducing new play strategies and skills. The new duelist makes sure everything is worth the trouble with her passive trait, "Legend's Contract," which earns her an extra 1000 cash for every opponent she takes down.

She is also the first to have a new perk, "Resupply." Whenever an enemy is eliminated, they drop a supply kit that re-equips purchased gadgets.

Additionally, a Twitter post from the official Rogue Company account reveals that the new Rogue is an Indian fashion icon, respected as "one of the most influential people in the world."

Step Up, Dress Up With S1 Battle Pass

Since the cross-platform shooter began its closed beta phase on July 22, 2020, this marks the first Battle Pass for Rogue Company. The S1 Battle Pass contains 50 different cosmetic items to spice up the gameplay, with the Hellfire Protocol Scorch skin being the ultimate reward for this season. By just playing games, players earn progress with the BP and start unlocking rewards.

Among the new prizes from the S1 Battle Pass are account boosters, exclusive rewards players unlock for free. Additionally, players can get more with the Premium Pass, available for 1000 Rogue Bucks, including the available upon purchase One Shot One Kill costume for the sniper Rogue, The Fixer.

Together with the release of the game's first pass, three new high-value bundles are now available in-game, allowing players to drop down the map in style. Its "Rogue Edition" bundle starts at $24.99 and unlocks 8 Rogues from the past year immediately plus 500 Rogue Bucks, one of the in-game currencies. The next is the "Year 1 Pass" also for $24.99, will proactively unlock all 8 2021 Rogues (Kestrel being the first), plus 500 Rogue Bucks. Lastly, the "Ultimate Edition" bundle, at $49.99, will unlock all sixteen Rogues from the first two bundles plus a total of 1,500 Rogue Bucks.

Lastly, with the Season 1 release, Rogue Company has also adopted a system of tiers and divisions where players rank up or down based on their performance. The Ranked gaming mode will also include placement matches and party restrictions.
