A modder for "Metal Gear Solid" is currently recreating "Metal Gear Solid 3" within the "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and they are recruiting other modders and developers to the plan.
Metal Gear Solid 3 remake
Earlier this week there was a post from the "Metal Gear Solid" subreddit, from a user who explains that they are recreating a map that was based on "Metal Gear Solid 3" within "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain."
Currently, there is only two screenshots to go on the forthcoming mod, but it is certainly an impressive project.
In the comments on the subreddit section, the mod's creator explains that the mod is still in its early days but the progress is going fast, according to ComicBook.

The creator also revealed that when there is something more substantial to show of the mod, they would consider putting together a trailer to give the fans an overview of their work.
The mod's creator is also open to other users joining in to help the creation of the mod. There is a Discord server that is dedicated solely to the mod's creation, and the user explains in the comment section that they are open to researchers joining in to delve into "Metal Gear Solid 5" files.
It is important to take note that "Metal Gear Solid 5" already has certain assets based on "Metal Gear Solid 3." That means, you can kit out Venom Snake in the garb of Naked Snake from "Metal Gear Solid 3", and there is also a partial model of Colonel Volgin that is present in the game, he is covered in flames and looked worse than he did back in 2004.
Still, this is an amazing project from "Metal Gear Solid" fans and one that definitely comes from a place off frustration.
Since "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" released in 2015, fans have been clamoring for a full remake of "Metal Gear Solid 3" using "The Phantom Pain" great Fox Engine.
Konami, the developer of the game, has seemingly never given thought to this type of project, only reconstructing the game back in 2004 for a pachinko game in Japan, which did not satisfy the fans who are hoping for a full remake.
There is no word that fans will ever get to see the remake, fans are now taking the matters into their own hands. But people are still hopeful that there will be a remake of the original "Metal Gear Solid" which it was claimed was in production in September 2020. As of now, nothing has been confirmed by Konami.
Metal Gear Solid storyline
"Metal Gear Solid" focuses on the storyline of the earlier games and it reveals that Solid Snake is a genetic clone of Big Boss, created as part of a secret government project, according to MetalGear Fandom.
An antagonist is introduced in Liquid Snake. The twin brother of Snake takes control of FOXHOUND after the retirement of Snake.
FOXHOUND and Liquid take control of a nuclear weapons disposal facility located in Alaska. The two threated commander REX's warhead unless the government turns over the remains of Big Boss. Snake then destroys Metal Gear REX and kills the FOXHOUND members, except for Revolver Ocelot.
