Vivo S9 would be the first smartphone to utilize the up and coming MediaTek Dimensity 1100 6nm Chips, which is one of the most powerful processors from the company rivaling Qualcomm's ARM-based phone chips. The Chinese smartphone that would be based on Android's operating system would feature the brand's flagship line, along with MediaTek's top chip.
The 2009-founded technology brand from Guangdong, China, Vivo, would soon debut the first smartphone that will showcase the 6nm processor chip from MediaTek, taking on the first edition of the Dimensity 1100. 1100 is the "more affordable" version of the Dimensity 1200 System-on-chip (SoC) architecture of the company, being a mid-tier with powerful specs.
The chipmaking company has recently announced that the Dimensity 1100 and 1200 SoCs would power future smartphones, and the first takers were Redmi for its K40 smartphone for the more powerful Dimensity 1200. On the other hand, MediaTek regarded that the first user of the Dimensity 1100 would be Vivo S9 and its affordable, high-spec smartphone.

According to Giz China, MediaTek's Dimensity would be an adept processor for the mid-tier smartphone that provides affordability and all the needs, with Vivo S9's release soon coming. Reports were initially surrounding the use of MediaTek with the Vivo S9, which the chipmaker confirmed through its launch event that the S9 would be the first to use its 1100 chip.

Vivo S9 would be released in Mainland China by March 6, 2021, which is more than a month away from now. The initial specs of the smartphone say that it would run Android 11, alongside Vivo's OriginOS user interface that pairs well with Google's smartphone operating system.

Additionally, it would have a 6.4-inch full touchscreen, that would feature a near bezel-less design, right at the edge of the screen. It would have a notch on the top side of the smartphone, featuring two front-facing cameras that have a whopping 44-megapixel resolution, along with a wide-angle lens that is perfect for group selfies.
A Google Play Console listing has already appeared in the database, with the details of the smartphone, leaking that it would also have a massive 12 GB of RAM, which would contribute to the device's performance. With MediaTek's Dimensity 1100 SoC and a massive RAM, the Vivo S9 would almost be an adequately-performing phone for gaming and complex processes.
Would Vivo S9 Have a Worldwide Release?
Vivo S9's Google Play Console model number is V2072A, and initial Vivo S series smartphones are usually not sold outside of Mainland China, with an exclusive release for the country.
MediaTek's Dimensity SoC series have promising specs, along with a true dual 5G network connection, packed in a 6nm chip. The 4x Super Cores of the chip would power the phone with better processes of up to 2.6 GHz, as part of its octa-core technology, which is a good rival of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series.
