According to Dot Esports' latest report, the next season is expected to offer fairer matches, a change in scenery, opportunities to earn RP, and more! The game will change the RP system so that the players can engage in more equal combats, as well as kicking off King Canyon and move to Olympus in March.

To give you more idea, here are some of the changes you need to know to prepare for the game's upcoming season 8!

'Apex Legends' Season 8 map changes

Express UK reported that will feature a big update for the King's Canyon map.
"Kings Canyon has gotten a facelift and an expansion with an entirely new addition to the map's footprint," said Respawn Entertainment.

"You can also find ECHO (Ecological Cleanup and Hazard Outreach) camps, Explosive Holds, Observation Towers, and more!" added the company via Express UK.

The game's developer explained that it is now aiming to create a healthier top end in Diamond and above in Ranked season eight. However, the fairer matches could also lead to longer queue times.

The weapon of choice was said to enact Respawn's goals by overhauling the RP system to offer more opportunities for good players to earn RP. Players are expected to get points when they generate six kills and assists in any given match.

Respawn's update is a soft push for players that show great skills in the game so that they can climb back to their ranks or go to higher ranks easily. The game will also implement a longer assist threshold. This means that assists will count up to 10 seconds after dealing damage to a target (up from 7.5 seconds).

New map rotation

"Apex Legends" Season 8 will also remove the World's Edge from the ranked map rotation until the season ends. The first split of competitive play will take place in the latest arena called Kings Canyon. On the other hand, the second one is expected to run through Olympus. This means that the Talos Arena is also out of the way at the moment.

Diamond trails will make a return to the battle royale as well in the next season. However, this will only be implemented in the upcoming season. Respawn hasn't confirmed yet when will this change lasts. If you want to know more details about the game's season 8, just click here.
