On the other hand, a new application called Clapper has emerged. It is a TikTok-like app that offers the same vibe since it also allows the users to be viewers or content creators. In short, this app can also be used as a starting point if you want to an influencer, just like TikTok.

However, can it be used to replace Parler? Here are its features and other details you need to know.

What is Clapper?

According to The Verge's latest report, Clapper was previously released last July 2020. It is specifically designed as a Free Speech Short Video platform. This means that the new app can be considered a TikTok clone.

Because of this, the app developer said that it will make changes to offer a lot less moderation. When you compare it to Parler, there is a huge difference since Parler's design is like Reddit's platform. This means that it is currently difficult to conclude that the new app can replace Parler.

PR Underground reported that the appearance of Clapper is important today since most apps and social media platforms failed to protect and promote free and civilized speech.

"We are passionate about people being able to express themselves in open ways without having to deal with biased censors," said the company via PR Underground.

"The short video format appeals to us. Some have called clapper a more political TikTok alternative, but the fact is that our users are making interesting and thought-provoking videos on a huge range of topics," it added.

The app also explained that the users don't have to worry about anything since they are free to say whatever they want because the company won't ban their accounts.
If you are considering free speech, Clapper is a great alternative for Parler, which was previously shut down.

Since it is a free-speech app, there are certain people that are sharing whatever is in their minds. Twitter users shared the weird and awesome things they saw in the new platform. Here's one of the tweets revealing the contents that can be found on the app.

If you want to create and account and try it, here's a quick guide on how and where to install it from.

Where can you download Clapper?

Right now, Clapper is available for both iOS and Android users. You can search for it in Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Installing it is a piece of cake since you can download it just like other apps.

All you need to do is type in the word Clapper inside the search bar. Once you find it, click the Install option on the lower right side of the app logo and wait for it to finish.
Here's what makes Clapper a good app as stated on the Google Play Store's official page;

  • Clapper has all about the latest updates in your local community. See what's trending nearby.
  • Clapper is a 17+ Ads-free social video platform
  • We allow for up to 3 minutes for each video so that you have plenty of time to get your point across.

The "Clapback" feature is unique to let you freely express your opinion.
