Two additional games have been added to the roster of PS Plus freebies in February. Thus, PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to a total of three games which are 'Control Ultimate Edition , 'Concrete Genie', and 'Destruction AllStars'. As Polygon reports, these three will be made accessible for subscribers by Tuesday, February 2.
'Control Ultimate Edition'
Remedy has already released "Control" last 2019 to users. The latest release of the "Control Ultimate Edition" has been a relaunch of that game which includes numerous updates such as the Foundation and AWE expansions on top of the original features of the game. The newest addition contains exciting new mods and additions to the actual game itself that players used to love.
However, the recent update is reported to cause buzz among many users due to its 'incompatibility.' According to The Verge, recently, Remedy as well as publisher 505 Games has received non-stop heat from users as existing "Control" owners could not upgrade to the newest edition. They have to purchase the "Control Ultimate Edition" for $39.99. It is hoped that some PlayStation players could have access to the Ultimate edition as part of their PS5 subscription on both PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5.
'Concrete Genie'
On the other hand, the action-adventure game by developer Pixelus which was released last 2019 has also seen an upgrade with the "Concrete Genie" addition to the February games list. The game is popular among players as an artistic feat with its brilliant graffiti and magical genies. The game also features new impressive additions. Players are tasked to bring back dull streets back to life. Sony invites players to "Create your very own street art on Denska's polluted walls, and watch as the mischievous Genies you paint spring into life and come to your aid. Each Genie possesses magical elemental powers that not only help you overcome puzzles and see off your adversaries, but are also the key to changing Ash's and Denska's destiny."
Moreover, the game is also available with PlayStation VR support when uploaded on PlayStation 4. 'Concrete Genie' is heavy in graphics, so having a VR support would defintely bring the game a notch higher.
'Destruction AllStars'
The "Destruction AllStars" was originally intended to launch at an earlier date. It was originally slated to launch last November, at the same time when Sony launched the PlayStation 5. However, it was moved until February 2021. The reason why it was delayed for a few months was not disclosed by Sony nor the game's producers.
Developed by British studio Lucid Games, the game is an action-packed adventure that gives players one goal, which is to wreck as many cars as they possibly could. It will be launching on PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Plus for a duration of two months.
Meanwhile, other games that were released for the January roster such as 'Greedfall', Shadow of the Tomb Raider', and 'Maneater' can still be downloaded by PlayStation Plus subscribers until February 1.
