How To Catch The Pokemon You Need During The Hoenn Collection Challenge
So how do you catch the important Pokemon during the Hoenn Collection event? First, keep in mind that a lot of the Pokemon will be appearing in the wild more regularly, that includes Torchic, Nosepass, Treecko, Mudkip and Aron. Make sure that you check all of those Aron to get a Shiny version.
Next, take note that Aron and Bagon are hatching more often from 5km eggs, thus making them a perfect place to find rare Pokemon during the event.
However, that does not account for Minun and Plusle. If you want to catch them, your best bet will be to complete research tasks during the event and you will find one then.
The most difficult Pokemon to find is Nincada, and you will likely have to hatch numerous eggs and keep your eyes on raid rewards just to get one of your own. There is also Shiny Nincada available but that will be rare. You will need to be able to get at least three remote raid passes during the event if you wish to catch a Shiny Nincada.
Finally, you can catch a Shiny Rayquaza, but this will be the rarest Pokemon of them all. In order to encounter Shiny Rayquaza, you need to complete all of the timed research tasks that are available then see if you get the right RNG for a shiny.
The Rayquaza that you encounter will have to move Hurricane as a charged attack, and it sets is apart from the other Rayquaza that you may have caught before.
