How to Start 'The Highwayman' Quest
To start the quest, go to Rancho Coronado, the same location where you should visit to get the Divided We Stand Smart Assault Rifle, on the eastern side of the area, which is close to the gun shop listed on the map.
Once in the area, there is a building at the back with an open garage door that you can enter.
Inside, you'll see a motorcycle and a laptop. Interact with the motorcycle first to trigger a dialogue with Johnny, then check the laptop to start the quest and a photo of a couple on a beach.
This will trigger "The Highwayman" quest, where you're tasked to find a person named James.
Unlike most "Cybperunk 2077" side missions, you need to use find out clues on the email and the photo to find out where you're going next.
If you are stuck, go to Japantown to find James. He should be near in Japantown West fast travel point and sitting on a bench near a graphic that says J & J inside of a painted heart. Approach James to start a conversation and learn what you need to do next.
After speaking with James, you'll be tasked to know what happened to Josie, who stole a bike from one of the Tyger Claw bosses, who are now after the woman.
Finding Josie and the Tyger Claw Motorcycle
From this point, go to Metro: Glen North fast travel point located in Glen, then use your scanner to find the blood splatter on the ground, then simply follow the blood trail and ultimately finding Josie's body.
There's a shard near the body that you can pick up, helping you learn more about her death, then return to James to share what you found out.
Once you talk to him, you have two dialogue choices:
- "So you had a choice."
- "You pathetic piece of sh**."
If you choose the latter, you'll be forced to fight James and ultimately kill him.
After defeating James, you can now track down the Tyger Claw motorcycle, with clues left from Josie's datashard.
If you still have problems, you have to make your way to Watson in the All Foods Plant.
Look around the area once you arrive and locate a garage that has a horse poster on it. It will be locked but the code is 0214. Once the door has been unlocked, "The Highwayman" ques will be completed.
Plus, you can get yourself a new bike as you can find the Nazare "Itsumade" motorcycle inside.
