However, Porsche's 2021 718 Boxster would be better than ever, with new specs and performance to look forward to, beating its older brother.
One of the most iconic Porsche sports cars in the 90s era is the Boxster, as not only did it provide performance, flair, and all the German goodies of the vehicle, but also an affordable price tag that made it available to many. Despite its price, the 718 Boxster delivered on everything expected of it, making it an iconic vehicle that has been loved by the public on its release.

According to Driving Canada, the 718 lines have caught up with Porsche, which they used on other vehicles like the 718 Cayman, making it the top-selling vehicle of the company, mainly focusing on SUVs. The shift of perspective and demand has left the sports car industry for the SUV category, but that does not mean that it is the end of the line for them.
The success of the 718 Boxster gave way to the massive success of Porsche's SUV with the same badge and lineup number (the 718), and over the years, the Boxster has been a mainstay 2-seater roadster in Porsche. Twenty-five years later, Porsche commemorates one of its most iconic releases with a limited edition version of its roadster, capturing the Boxsters of the past.
Porsche 718 Boxster 25th Anniversary: Specs and Features of the Limited Edition
Porsche would not let its iconic roadster to have a release that only has mid or substandard parts, the 2021 718 Boxster would feature its previous release's specs with the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0. The engine would feature a 4.0 naturally-aspirated flat-six that can produce a whopping 394 horsepower with an option of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed PDK automatic transmission.
The 718 Boxster's 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (0 to 60 miles per hour) clocks at only four seconds off the rally point, which is equipped with the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. The vehicle would feature the nostalgic look of the 718 Boxster, along with its red interior finish and 20-inch 5-spoke gold wheels to complete the look.
Porsche 718 Boxster 25th Anniversary: Price and Release Date
The 25th Anniversary Edition of the Porsche 718 Boxster is priced at an expensive $106,500, which is $60,000 more than its original selling price in 1996 for only $40,000. The limited-edition Boxster sure does comes at a massive price tag because of all the addition and production which would only release 1,250 units worldwide.
The Porsche 718 Boxster 25th Anniversary Limited Edition would rollout of dealerships in March 2021.
