There's nothing more hilarious, or rather distressing than to witness Telegram mocking Whatsapp's new Privacy Policy in the funniest way possible: a viral coffin meme.
Social media users live and breathe memes and jokes as a way to communicate online. For a few days now, users have also been using memes and jokes to mock WhatsApp's new privacy policy update. However, it was unexpected that joining the Whatsapp meme craze this week would be Telegram itself.
WhatsApp's New Privacy Policy
Previously, WhatsApp has gained traction online as it updates its new privacy policy. According to Latestly, WhatsApp users are now being asked to allow WhatsApp to access their Facebook Messenger information. Failure to agree to this before February 8 would mean the termination of their WhatsApp account.

Many WhatsApp users are unsure about accepting this policy. Others simply did not read the terms and conditions and just went through "agreeing" to keep their WhatsApp accounts. On the other hand, users who are skeptical about this new update switched to other famous messaging apps such as Telegram and Signal. It has been known that Facebook Inc. already owns WhatsApp. Consequently, the social media corporation wants to integrate all user data from their jurisdiction including Telegram, Instagram, and WhatsApp in the near future.
For many users, including WhatsApp's greatest rival, Telegram, this is the end or "death" of the users' privacy. In mocking the latest update, Telegram uses the popular Coffin Dance Video, where coffin carriers hilariously dance and march while carrying the coffin. Social media users love this meme so much when they're referring to the "end" of something.
Telegram Hops into the WhatsApp Twitter Bandwagon
This new twitter update from Telegram's official twitter account was posted last January 10, and has gained over 220,000 likes and counting.
The famous coffin GIF features WhatsApp's new notice for users to allow the app to access their Facebook Messenger Data. It has gained so much attention from social media since. The update had tons of replies from users using meme references as well.
This reply from a twitter user features the famous "boyfriend cheating" meme where users are now attracted to using Telegram instead of WhatsApp.
When a user commented saying "I cant wait for their (WhatsApp's) Clapback, Telegram hilariously replied saying they have no "clap backs policy."
Another user said he has accepted the new policy without reading the terms and conditions. WhatsApp replied by saying "There's a cure for that", and uploading a screenshot of uninstalling the app.
The social media rivalry between the two is hilarious and entertaining to say the least. Users have also expressed their sentiments on how Telegram's social media handler "deserves a raise." WhatsApp is yet to respond to all the backlash that they have been getting. However, it seems as if they have also anticipated all of these. We will keep you posted when WhatsApp has already updated their "Clap Back" policy, hopefully with meme references as well.
